Leadership Gifts!

Here are a couple of gifts I received from my friends at Leadership
Steph made this frame using the Everyday Enchantment dsp from SAB & several stamp sets. So cute! Can't wait to hang it up!
This year I roomed with someone I hadn't met before. Rosie and I had a great time together. This is what she made for me, along with a really nice note. She used the bags from the Clearance Rack to hold all my goodies. Her swap card won in the contest SU had. She got some dsp for winning. I can't remember which one.

Sale-a-Bration Starts Today!

I'm so late getting this post done. Still recovering from Leadership Conference & Regional Seminar.
So excited that Sale-a-bration (SAB) starts today. I have so much to share with you. Leadership was FABULOUS! I was able to see/meet some of my cyber friends, meet new friends and talk with some demos who I admire. I also talked with some of the gals from the Home Office of Stampin' Up! It was so nice that they took the time to talk with me. Shannon West talked with us 2 nights in a row. And Stampin' Up! really knows how to spoil us. OMG! We got so much stuff. The bag we received is awesome. Maybe we will get this fabric in the next big catalog........
Oops, I forgot some stuff. Yes, we even got some home made chocolate, that was in that cute Fancy Favor box.
And this portfolio was with our make n takes. Same fabric, hmmmmmm, and we got a stamp set to match. Can't show you yet. So cute! Shelli (Co founder of SU) even signed the tag!
And here it is opened.
So, you can see how Stampin' Up! spoils us at all of their events. That doesn't even cover the wonderful lunches we were served at Leadership. SU thinks of EVERYTHING!

Boxes for my Leadership Gifts

If you saw my post from yesterday, you saw the flower pins I made for my leadership gifts. Well, I couldn't just give the pins........I wanted a box to put them in. That way they wouldn't get damaged getting them to leadership and then on the way home. So I found this great blog by Connie Stewart. She has come up with a great formula to make up ANY size box you want using the Simply Scored Board. Check out her blog, she has lots of great stuff on it.
For all my box tops I used:
Paper Doily Sizzlit die
Designer Rosette die
Timeless Portrait or Twitterpated dsp
Blossom Punch for the leaves
3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon for the center of all the flowers. I just rolled it up and secured it with hot glue. You need just a tiny bit or you will burn your fingers.....ask me how I know.......
All my boxes have a Crumb Cake bottom and the top is the same color as the flower. So this one is for Patty (she has already seen it, then I took it home by mistake....). For her flower I used the Timeless Portrait fabric, so I used the same dsp for the Medallion.
This one is Baja Breeze & I used the Twitterpated dsp for this one and the rest of them.
Pear Pizzazz.
Island Indigo.
And Riding Hood Red.
Using the Rosette die to make these medallions is so easy and fast. Make sure you check out Connie's blog. She is a genius for making the boxes!

Leadership Gifts!

I made these flowers into pins for my friends that are attending Leadership. They are super easy. I originally got this flower idea from Sandi Dailey. You stamp 6 Sunflowers using the Sunflower Stamp (big stamp) on First Edition Specialty Paper, cut them out. You need to cut up into every 3 or 4 petals. Then spitz each one with water and scrunch them up. Carefully unfold and let dry. Stack them and glue together with hot glue.
Now for the fabric flower. You need 2 pieces of fabric. One is about 1 1/2" x 12" & the other in coordinating fabric, 2" x 12". You will accordion fold each piece using a strip of card stock cut at 1/2" x 11". This will be your guide. I sprayed mine with a little spray starch and ironed every few folds. Then you will cut each one in half diagonal. You will have enough for 2 flowers. Clip from the cut side down a bit on each fold. Lay them one on top of the other and make a running stitch all the way down and cinch it up and tie in a knot. Then grab the beginning and sew together. This will give you your flower. Add a brad or button to the center. I hot glued the fabric flower inside the paper flower and added a pin back to the back of my flowers. Check out Jackie's video if you need a visual. I know I do!
The first flower I used Timeless Portrait fabric and Antique Brad. I originally stamped the sunflower with Cherry Cobbler Ink, but it came out pink when I spritzed it. So I turned the paper over and stamped the Sunflower in black. When I spritzed the black flowers the Cherry Cobbler ink bled into the black. I liked this better than just the Cherry Cobbler.
For the rest of the flowers I used Twitterpated Fabric in the Occasions Mini. This Sunflower was stamped in Riding Hood Red. For the center I used a Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch in Pear Pizzazz and an antique brad on top of that.
This Sunflower was stamped in Island Indigo ink and I used another punch and green Brad is part of the Ribbon & Brad Pack you can get FREE for Sale-a-bration.
This flower was stamped with Pear Pizzazz, another punch and the Twitterpated Buttons.
This final flower was stamped with Baja Breeze ink with another brad from the Ribbon & Brad Pack for Sale-a-bration.
Thank you, Sandi and Jackie for your flower ideas!

Leadership Swap #4!

Edited to add: This post was supposed to post on Friday. Not sure why it posted earlier. So now they are out of order.......
I love these two colors together, Pool Party & Wisteria Wonder. The butterfly is made using the new Blossom punch in the Occasions mini. You punch out flower, then cut 2 of the petals (opposite of each other) off, add a brad and call it a "butterfly". Pretty cool, wish I thought of it. Actually Stampin' Up! thought of it. You can see it on page 16 of the Occasions mini catalog. I don't have the Mixed Bunch stamp set yet because that is one of the stamp sets we will be getting in our Leadership bag, Yeah! Who doesn't love FREE rubber????
Ok, so here is what I used:
Elementary Elegance Stamp Set (SAB
Sweet Shop dsp (Occasions mini)
Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party & whisper White c/s
Wisteria Wonder & Basic Black Classic Ink
Scallop Squares Duo die, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder
Pool Party 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon
Sweet Shop Brad
Curley Label, Scallop Trim Border & Blossom Punches

Real Red Classic Ink
Riding Hood Red 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon (LOVE THIS RIBBON, 4 colors to choose from in the mini)

This was a super easy card to make. The perfect Details adds a little sparkle to the embossed hearts don't you think?

Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz! I Like it!

I needed a birthday and thank you card today, so I challenged myself to use something that I wouldn't normally. For me, I thought, Pool Party & Pear Pizzazz did NOT coordinate. See the dsp in both cards, they both use this color combo. That still didn't sell me..... until I made these two cards. Thanks to Mary Brown for the cute little bow. She has a great tutorial.
The first card is kind of a case from myself. I changed a few things, well a lot of things. First I cut the scallop using our new Edgelit die, and coordinating embossing folder. LOVE IT! I cut a small piece of the Everyday Enchantment dsp (SAB) for the inside. Then I colored in the tea cup, from Tea Shoppe with my markers using Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz, cut it out. I used a hobby blade for the handle, it wasn't too hard. Especially for me, since I seem to be "hobby blade" challenged. Once the tea cup was cut out I layered it on one of the Label Collections dies, ran that through the Big Shot with the Polka Dot embossing folder and glued that down to my card. Then the tea cup was put on with dimensionals. I love how it looks there really is a tea bag in my cup. Thanks to Jackie Topa, I saw it on her blog first. And the bow just finishes it nicely!
This next card, same stamp set. I wanted to use the 3 tea cups separately. So I had to stamp it twice, as I could punch out the 1st and 3rd ones fine, but that left the middle cup a bit short. So I punched those using the 1 1/4" circle punch and layered it on a 1 3/8" circle punch in Pool Party. I embellished each cup differently, Pearls, Bakers Twine & a little flower punched out with a Pearl inside. The Thank You is from Curly Cute, that is a must have stamp.....I punched that out with the Modern Label punch. Now that I have all my embellishments done I used the scallop Edgelit embossing folder on the side and added the same dsp (Everyday Enchantment, SAB) for the rest of the front. Don't you love how the new Pleated ribbon looks on this card? Totally makes the card. Then I added the Pearls inside every other one of the scallops.

Swap #2 for Leadership

This next card was inspired by two people. I first saw Lisa Lange's card, and then Jackie Topa. I'm loving the new Framelits, Label Collections.
Here is what I used:
Tea Shoppe Stamp Set, (Occasions mini)
Everyday Enchantment dsp (SAB) & I LOVE this dsp!
Poppy Parade, Pool Party & Whisper White c/s
Poppy Parade & Pool Party Classic Ink
Framelits Labels Collection, Adorning Accents, (mini) & Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folders.
Pool Party Seam Binding, (Mini)
Everyday Enchantment Brad
1" Square punch
White Bakers Twine
Thanks to Lisa and Jackie for their inspiration!
