Carousel Notes Tote

These are the 2 prizes I won. Patty made the clip with the note holder and the Carousel Purse was made by Lene'e Pearson. She also did a presentation and showed us how easy these purses are to make. I'm seeing another class........

Patty also had some great tips for taking photos.  I am happy to say that I did get out the book for my camera (I've only had my camera for almost 2 years) and with what Patty mentioned I am using the macro  & portrait settings on my camera and getting much closer shots now.

I am truly thankful that because of my stampin' buddy Lynne M. I was able to attend Patty's meeting. She is awesome.  Her meeting was full of info about convention (crossing my fingers and toes hoping I will be attending), business tips, great projects and so much more. I know these meetings require a lot of prep time and I do appreciate all her hard work. 

Carousel Notes Card

OK, so I lied. This is the last make n take we did. We used the Carousel Notes, Afternoon Tea DSP, Chocolate Chip Poly Twill Ribbon, & the Live Your Dream stamp set all found in the Occasions Mini Catalog. Did you know that the brass template, Pick A Petal, found on page 187 coordinates perfect with the Carousel Note Cards. You can use the template to do the paper piercing. So you get perfect circles every time. I am really loving these. Just wish Stampin' Up would extend the Occasions Mini Catalog for at least another month. Maybe if we all send SU a email asking them to they might consider it.......

Pop Up Card with Swing Greeting

This is the final project we did thanks to Jana Mays. She did the presentation for this card. We also saw this card made at the Regional Seminar in Oakland.

Candy Slider

This is one of the other projects we did at Patty's meeting. We used the Summer Picnic and Die Cut Blooms that are in the Occasions Mini Catalog. These are fast and easy. Would be great for children and adults.

Simple Tote Bag with 3 x 3 cards

This is one of the make n takes we did at Patty Bennett's "luv 2 Stamp" group meeting. We used the Summer Days Simply Scrappin' kits to do this project. Not really any stamping except the sentiment, and you use only 1 full sheet of the Designer Paper to make the tote. In the first photo you can see the inside. I see a class coming soon........

Tart & Tangy Card Case

I found this card case on Paperpleasing.typepad.com. I know you are probably getting tired of this stamp set. But I just can't stop using it. Oh, and the Summer Picnic Designer Papers either. It holds 4 cards that are 3 1/2 x 5 plus the envelopes. This would make a very nice teacher gift.

Tart & Tangy Accordian Card

I found this card on dawnstampingthoughts.typepad.com. I love the way the inside of this card was done. You start with 2 pieces of Whisper White c/s that are cut at 5 1/2 x 5 1/4 and a piece of Designer paper at 5 x 5 1/2. I used the Summer Picnic Designer Paper and the Tart & Tangy stamp set.  You score the DSP at 1 1/2, 2 1/2 & 3 1/2 on the 5" side. Your DSP should look like a M after scoring. Put adhesive on each end of the DSP and put your Whisper White on the inside of the "M". Then do the same on the other side. So the DSP should be on the outside of each of the Whisper White. I know clear as mud, right? You can leave me a message or email me if you have any questions. (cindee@pacbell.net). The oranges were cut in half and then I used the 1 1/4 circle punch to cut the Old Olive c/s. I did cut the orange slices by hand and glued them to the Old Olive and then used the punch to cut a half of circle. I also used the Make it Count, hostess set for the sentiment.  . The 1/4 inch Old Olive Twill ribbon is on the front along with the Build A Brad.

Carousel Note Treat Holder

Isn't this cute? So easy. You use the Carousel Notes in the Occasions Mini Catalog. I found this on Andrea Walford's blog. Thanks Andrea!

 Score the Carousel Note on 3 sides about 1 1/2" in and then cutting out the 2 triangles on the bottom, you then fold in the sides and then the bottom. This makes the pouch. I then added a 1 x 7" piece of Afternoon Tea Designer Paper for the belly band and used the flower in Bloomin' Beautiful inked in black Stazon (so the ink won't run) and used my Aqua Pen to color in the flower with Groovy Guava, the stem with Wild Wasibi and the flower center with So Safron. The flower is stamped on Whisper White and punched with the 1 1/4" punch, the Soft Sky is punched with the 1 3/8" punch and the Scallop punch is Groovy Guava. I forgot to stamp the sentiment, but you would do that before you put on the belly band.  I put a tea bag in my pouch.

UpperCase Living

My husband many years ago started calling my crafts, "Cincraft" for Cindee's Crafts. So I thought it only fitting to have a sign with my Craft Name in my Fabulous Craft Room. ( I will post photos of my room soon, need to do some cleaning up).

I was able to custom design my expression thru Lynne Marini at UpperCase Living. You then need an ID# which is 487562, Token: marini. Check out their web site.  I have several of the UpperCase Living expressions up in my home now. They are easy to put up and easy to take down. They even work on textured walls, which all of my walls are. I also have made my website into a expression and have it on the back window of my car. Free advertising, Yeah! And I forgot to mention, these are very inexpensive, and you can get them in 30 colors and many fonts.

Jeremy after hair cut

Here is Jeremy and Cassie after their hair cuts. We keep them short. Cocker Spaniels are suppose to have long "skirts", but unless you brush them every day or they are show dogs, why go to all the trouble and they really are much happier with less hair.

This is Jeremy. He will be 9 years old next month. We adopted him when he was 4. We think he was a show dog that just didn't quite make it. 

I forgot to take his picture before his hair cut, so this is after. He is chocolate all over. His fur is very thick and soft.

This is Cassie. She is 2 1/2 years old and pretty much runs our house. My DH calls her "Princess Poo Poo Head".  This is right before I give her a hair cut. Her face grows so fast.

These are my swaps for Patty Bennett's meeting next Saturday. I just can't get enough of this set. I love using the chunky glitter for the lime or orange slices. 

Bloomin' Beautiful Stationery Portfolio

Here is the Bloomin' Beautiful Stationery Portfolio I promised. The first photo shows the inside of the portfolio and the second shows the portfolio closed up with the 4 cards that go inside. Wouldn't this make a great Mother's Day gift? I used the Bloomin' Beautiful stamp set found in the Occasions Mini Catalog and the Afternoon Tea Designer papers. This coordinates great with the Carousel Notes purse. My class for the purse is April 27th, at 1pm. The Bloomin' Beautiful class is May 4th at 1pm. Bloomin' Beautiful

I really didn't like the Afternoon Tea Designer Papers when I first saw them in the Occasions Mini Catalog. Wasn't really crazy about this stamp set, Bloomin' Beautiful either. But boy do I love them now. I have seen so many beautiful cards using these papers and this stamp set that I caved and had to have them both. Just like I had to have the Carousel Notes too. My husband always tells me; "Honey, there isn't a tool that I don't need", so for me "there isn't a stamp set or designer paper that I don't need either". 

 These cards were a little time consuming but so worth the trouble. The flowers are layered, all water colored and the scallops were made using the large oval punch. You just cut them in half and use your 2-way glue pen to attach them. I guess you could call this a faux scallop. These cards will go inside a portfolio that I will show you next week. This is just a little tease.

Swap Tote

This has been a long week for my family. My MIL went into the hospital early Sunday morning not being able to breath. She has many health issues. She is doing great now and went home on Wednesday. So I haven't had much time to stamp. Isn't this a cute little basket? I made this to hold my swaps, using the Summer Picnic Designer Papers from the Occasions Mini Catalog & the striped grosgrain ribbon. I am fortunate enough to be going to Patty Bennett's meeting ( thanks to my stampin' buddy Lynne Marini) this month and this will be great for all my swaps. I think I will make one for Patty too and surprise her. This week I will be making my swaps and promise I will share.
