Popsicle card

Well, I finally figured out how to change the size setting on my camera so I could finally post my Orange Popsicle. My husband and I changed the setting and ever since I have been having trouble posting to my blog and website. I couldn't figure out how to change it back. Now I will have to retake some of my photos as I still can't figure out how to change the size of the photo once it has been upload and on to IPhoto. 

Baby Gift

This is a baby gift for one of our neighbor friends oldest daughter, Ginaea. Our kids grew up together. So now Terry & Louie are going to be Grandparents. Our grandchildren will be so close in age. 

I bought this empty paint can at Lowe's and used a Simply Scrappin' kit that is now discontinued. I used the baby shoes die to cut out the baby shoes and then stamped them with white craft ink using the Polka Dot Background stamp. The card I cased from Alice Erickson. I used Nursery Necessities instead of By Ones & By Twos which I didn't have, but I loved the way she made the card look like wains coating. So this is my take. 

Ice Cream Cards

These Ice Cream Cards are all the rage right now, so of course I had to make a couple. So easy and cute to top it off. I first saw these on Patty Bennett's blog (of course, she does the best stuff).  And now I have seen them on several other blogs. On someone's blog they used the Tart & Tangy strawberry and made it a chocolate covered strawberry. I thought how clever is that. In my next life I want to be one of those people who thinks up this stuff........Anyway by using Crystal Effects on just the chocolate part it makes it stand out and really looked like its dipped.

Graduation Cards

Ok, so now you probably know that my Stampin' Buddy Lynne and I get together every Tuesday afternoon for  a couple of hours of stamping. So we got on a roll with gift card cards for graduation. This was the last card we made. I really don't like the color combo, but Lynne said, "Oh just do it". So I finished the card, but I don't like it. I don't like the way it closes because the card is too stiff with all those layers, I don't like the colors, (I'm more of a pastel kind of gal) and I just don't like it.

Bottle treat holder

Here is a bottle treat holder that I found on Sudsol by Paula Goff. She does such great work.

I used the Tart & Tangy stamp set with the Summer Picnic DSP. Both found in the Occasion's Mini Catalog. I don't know if I've mentioned this before but SU is extending the Mini until June 30th, that's a whole month more. I don't think I've used the stamps in previous catalogs as much as I have this one. I added in the pouch a Crystal Light "On the Go" packet and a Ritz "Crackers 'n Cheese". You could add a granola bar, candy bar, the 100 calorie cookies, etc. or how about,  band-aids, Tylenol,  cold medicine. I could also see how this would be cute for guests by setting this on a bedside table.

Love Album

This is page #1. Katie's not a happy camper in this photo. 

I have been trying now for 3 days to get this album uploaded and on to my blog. Not sure why this is happening, so I won't be showing you the album front. This is so frustrating. So please forgive me.

This album is for our new Great Niece, Katie Michelle. She was born on March 19, 2008. And was only 4 lbs 12 oz. She is doing great now and over 6 lbs. Yeah! Our Nephew and his family just moved to Oregon from Idaho so Chris could start a new job. He just finished College this past December with 2 business degrees. We are so proud of him. I think now they are only about 5 hours from us, so hopefully we will get to see them sometime this summer.  When they lived in Idaho it was a 13 hour drive.

Tart and Tangy Card

This is my take on the "double pocket" card everyone is doing. Thanks to Lynne at Learn to Scrap with Lynn.

Target gift basket

Look what I made. I found the spatulas and towels in the $2.50 section at Target. The metal bucket and spreaders were in the $1 section. As soon as I saw the cherrys on the towels I knew that this would be so cute with the Tart & Tangy stamp set. So for about $7 and a little ribbon and paper to make the scallops I made a nice gift basket. Oh, I added some bling with the Rhinestone brads and used my Crop-A-Dial to punch the holes. Once I figured out what I was going to do it didn't take long to finish. You could also add some crackers and cheese.

I just can't get enough of the Tart & Tangy stamp set and the Summer Picnic Designer Papers that are in the Occasions Mini Catalog. I used the chunky glitter also in the mini on each of the orange slices  and for the scalloped border.  I wish I could remember who's blog I saw this on.

Look what my friend Lynne made for me. A mini Book. She used the Summer Picnic DSP from the Occasions Mini and also the Flower Fusion flowers from the Spring/Summer Catalog. These flowers are made of felt which is all the rage right now.

Vacation

While in Vegas we saw Cirque Du Soleil, KA on Friday night. These performers are awesome. They were swinging from a rope, up on a platform that moved, jumped rope in and on a moving carousel and so much more. We had fabulous seats and could see everything. Saturday night we saw the Blue Men Group at the Venetian. Love this casino. It is very beautiful and they have a river going through upstairs where all the shops and restaurants are and you can take a ride in a gondola and they sing in Italian. Then on Sunday night we saw Jersey Boys. They guys are fantastic, they sounded just like Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. We also went to Segfried & Roy's Secret Garden and saw the beautiful cats and dolphins. All in all we had a great time, but its always nice to come back home. Our dogs and cats were very happy to see us. We had a neighbor come and stay with them since they are so spoiled and would never survive a kennel.

Dave's Birthday

Look at this yummy dessert we got for my husband's birthday. We had a fabulous dinner at the steak house in Harrah's and then went to see "The Blue Men" at the MGM Grand Casino in Las Vegas. They put on a terrific show. 

Mother's Day gift

Look what my Daughter, Son-in-Law and Granddaughters sent me for Mother's Day. Sunflowers are one of my favorite flowers. They are stunning IRL. I have them setting on a cabinet in my hall way. Perfect spot for them.

Also when we got home from Vegas they had a gift bag with photos of Jocelyn and Gianna that are in these beautiful 8 x 10 frames. Just can't have enough photos of my Granddaughters.

Stain Glass Sunflowers

Isn't this beautiful? My Brother-in-Law made this for us in January.  He does such gorgeous work. He knows I love sunflowers and surprised us. It just happened to come on my birthday. My husband hung it in a window that is between our living room and dining room. My adopted Mom, Carol who lives next door to us enjoys it from her house too! My Brother-in-Law also made inserts for our entertainment cabinet that is in the family room. Thanks Dennis for all your hard work! We get so many complements on both items. They are so custom and one of a kind.  The photo just doesn't do it justice.

Birthday card

This card is for my DH Birthday on Saturday. I used the Confetti Scrappin' Kit and stamped on the DSP. Very easy, cute in a manly sort of way.

This is the card I made for Mother's Day. I just can't get enough of this stamp set, Bloomin' Beautiful, which is in the Occasions Mini Catalog. SU has decided to extend the mini through June 30th. Yeah!

Jocelyn & Gianna playing with bubbles

These cute little girls' are my Grandchildren. Jocelyn in 2 1/2 she is in the bottom photo and Gianna is almost 18 months old. They spent the night with us a couple of weeks ago while my Daughter and Son-in-Law went to an evening wedding. The girl's love to play with bubbles and be outside. We had so much fun that day. I took a whole bunch of photos that I am going to scrapbook, (I promise). I might try to digital scrapbook these photos, as this is on my list of things to learn how to do.

Mother's Day & Hubby's Birthday dinner

Our Son, Michael took us out for dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday and Mother's Day. The waitress took this picture for us.  I haven't seen Michael for a few weeks and couldn't believe how long his hair is. He has kept it really short until the last couple of months. We really had a nice dinner and good conversation.  He gave us a digital frame. Holds a ton of photos. Will have to work on that when we get back from Vegas.

We will be seeing "The Blue Men" on Saturday which is Dave's 53rd birthday. Looking forward to our mini vacation. We fly out of Oakland on Thursday evening and return Monday morning. We are going with our adopted Mom, Carol and another friend who is flying in to meet us.

Mother's Day gift

We took my MIL to dinner on Sunday for Mother's Day as we will be in Las Vegas, Yeah! These are her gifts. In the bag, I went through all my cards and packaged them up for her. Came up with 35 cards. She sends out cards to everyone, so she loved having all those hand made cards. Then I made her the Purse Photo album with pictures of her and my FIL who will be gone for 8 years on Memorial Day. She couldn't wait to take that one to Bingo on Monday night. And finally the Bloomin' Beautiful Portfolio. She told me those cards are for "her special" friends. So we had a great dinner and she loved her gifts. She told me she saves all of the cards I have made for her in the past. Warmed my heart.

Bathroom re-do

It's been a while since I posted. We are in the middle of re-doing our upstairs bathroom and so I have been painting and cleaning. We haven't used this bathroom since our kids moved out 3 years ago, so it needs some major work. The linoleum and new sinks have been ordered and this week-end my husband is going to paint the cabinet. We've lived in our house now 18 years so its time to redo the upstairs. We remodeled downstairs a couple of years ago. I'm so lucky my husband can do just about anything. He is a Electrical Contractor by trade, but after so many years of abusing his arms, he just can't do that on a regular basis.  So after the cabinet is painted he will put back up the mirrors and change the light fixtures. The bath tub and toilet are in one room and the double sinks are in the other room.  The linoleum should be in the following week and the sinks will be here about the 21st of May.

My Sister, Brother-in-law, and 2 nieces will be visiting us in June, so we really needed to get this bathroom in working order.  Both of my nieces are teenagers so they really need their own bathroom, you know how girl's are.......I can't wait to see them all. 

I have many birthday, anniversary, and thank you cards I need to make up so hopefully this week-end I will be able to post some stampin' cards for you to view.

I almost forgot; you know that swap tote I made for Patty Bennett last month, well she posted it on her blog, Yipee! She made my day.  Thanks Patty.
