Window Dressings

I made this card for my Sister who had surgery end of last month. I used Window Dressings which is a level 3 hostess set and the Joy Fold for the card. Also used the Bella Rose DSP and my chalks to color. I really like this fold.  Notice how the scallop on the bottom left holds the center part of the card closed. Too cool. Just wished I'd thought of it.........

Inspired by Nature

This is another stamp set we got in our convention bags. I really love this stamp set. You can do so many things with it. I made this card for a friend's Mom who lost her cat of 17 years. Can you believe Vanna lived that long? Anyway I used my SU markers so I could shade the stamp and use different colors. Very easy and simple.

Flight of the Butterfly

I know I have been MIA for too long. I was having trouble posting before I left for convention and I gave up for a while. So hopefully I will be able to post more photos now. Not sure what changed, but we shall see. Then I started putting all my retired stamps on E-Bay. Of course they all finished up right after I got my first order from the new catalog.  So I haven't really got to play with my new stuff too much. Everything sold except 2 stamp sets. I think I put on 79 sets. Just waiting for a few to finalize and I will be done. Still need to purge some other stuff and put on E-bay, but I think I will take a break and play with my new stuff. Did I mention I got the Big Shot? OMG wait to you see what you can do with all those dies. I'm sure you've seen some things on some other blogs. I love the Bigz  Top Note die. We received this stamp set, Flight of the Butterfly in our convention bags.  I saw on someone's blog, I think it was Connie Babbet where she made a square using the scallop edge punch. You start with a square of 2 3/4 x 2 3/4, and punch in the middle of each side and end up with this unique square. I thought this square would be perfect to put the butterfly in the middle. I put 2 dimensional's under each wing to make the butterfly look more like it was taking flight. In both of these cards I used our new In Color's. Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, & Pretty in Pink is the first one and the other one is Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze & Pacific Point. You can click on the photos to see close up.

Baby Shower cards

I made these cards for 2 new babies in our family. The first one is from the Nursery Necessities. I cut out the sail boat and used a tooth pick to hold the sail up. I cased this from the Spring/Summer catalog. The pink card I cased from Alice Erickson. I just changed the color and I used Big on Spring. I used the onesie on the Let the Cute begin. I really loved the way Alice made the faux wains coating (I know that isn't spelled correctly) LOL.

New Catalog

With so much going on at SU, I'm not sure where to start. You know with this being the 20th Anniversary for Stampin' Up! The new catalog is up and running as of yesterday, 15% selected stamp sets, $99 starter kits for anyone interested in becoming a demonstrator, oh and don't forget SU has partnered with Sizzix and we now sell the BigShot and have some exclusive dies. Whew! And I forgot to throw in Decor Elements. 

The new catalog is beautiful! So many new products like the new punches. OMG, we now have a 1 3/4 circle, large oval, square scallop, straight scallop & the Curly label punch. The new ribbons are yummy. We now have a few colors in 1" double-stitched grosgrain, 7/8 poly-twill and more. Have you seen the new In-Colors yet? The beautiful Designer papers and Scrappin' kits oh my! They brought back the Carousel Notes, this time in Ruby Red, Kiwi Kiss & Baja Breeze.

Another thing I love about the new catalog is the name. It's now called the 2008 Fall-Winter Idea Book & Catalog. And before each section they have a Stampin' Technique page, with color photos and step by step instructions.
