Check out the cards we made at Patty's meeting

Aren't these cards so cute? I can't decide if I like the snow spring card the best or the Flight of the Butterfly's more. The spring card we used the Snow wheel inside the card and the 1 3/4" circle punch to cut the spiral to hold our snowflakes that are Sizzix dies. And we also used the felt snowflakes that are in the Holiday Mini. Wasn't going to order those babies. Now of course I need them. On the Butterfly card we made cattails.  Don't you love how we did the cattails? I would of never thought to use the slot punch for the cattails. The grass is from Inspired by Nature, and the ribbon is Kiwi Kiss striped grosgrain. We also used the Curly Label punch for the saying. The last card we made uses the Eastern Blooms and I just realized I forgot the saying. We used the new Filigree brads with a Rhinestone brad in the middle. I love the Kiwi Kiss/Vanilla satin ribbon too. 

Jocelyn's 3rd Birthday

I made these treats for my oldest Granddaughter's Birthday. She turns 3 on October 1st. Jocelyn is going to take these to day care and share with her friends. I had some Pocket Notes left over from the last mini catalog (I think) and I used the retired stamp set, Pretty Princess.  Last year at Halloween I found these candy corn that were pink & purple and thought they would be cute for our ginger bread houses we make every Christmas, so these are left over and they go perfect with the suckers and the pail that I found at Target in the $1 section. For the pail I used 4 large eyelets with the Crop-a-Dial and ran our new Pink Pirouette (I wish I could remember how to spell that color without getting out the stamp pad or looking in the catalog.) through each eyelet and tied a bow. Added some more ribbon on the handle. Turned out pretty cute, don't you think? I tried to turn the 1st photo around, but it won't stay turned around when I go to post to my blog. Say it With Scallops Class

I had a class yesterday using the Ronald McDonald set, Say it With Scallops. Included with the class fee, each person received the stamp set and we made these 4 cards. We used all four stamps and several of the new DSP, In Colors and the yummy ribbon that matches. Then my 2 gal's had to have the scallop square punch and the edge scallop punch too! The square punch just makes the stamp set "shine" if you know what I mean.

Spider & Bat Tin

I saw these cute spiders on Dawn's Stamping Thoughts and then my friend showed me how to make these bats. Found these cute tins at Target in the $1 area and and idea took shape. Aren't these so cute? Dawn has a video on how to make the spiders. The bats are made with the square scallop punch folded in half to make a triangle and then you cut at an angle about 1/4" in on each side and then fold back the part you just cut to make the ears. Sounds way more complicated than it is. I attached both the spider and the bat to the 1 3/4" Lovely Lilac circle punch and added the dangle, which is from the stamp set, Batty for you. This was attached to a Pixy Stick with a dimensionals. I put Kit Kat & Milky Way bars in the tin and stuck the spider and bat into the tin. The candy bars are holding up the Pixy Sticks. I just noticed that one of my spiders doesn't look very good. I smodged the ink, and of course I already sent the tin with my Husband today. He starts a new job today (Yeah!) and I told him he would make great friends with candy on his desk. He agreed and took it with him this morning.  So I will make another one and post a better photo.

Sizzix Large Scallop Die

I got my stamp order on Monday with my new Sizzix dies. I used the large scallop die folded and put just under the blades to make a thank you card for my friend. Then I cut another scallop out of the Junto's DSP which is in the Spanish Stampin' Up Catalog. (Did you know that we have a Spanish Catalog now?). I then used my new leave die and cut the leaves out of Kiwi Kiss, Really Rust & Chocolate Chip C/S. The leaves were missing something so I decided to use my bone folder and make some veins in each of the leaves and then of course I sponged on each leaf. I ended up adding the Kiwi Kiss/Vanilla Satin ribbon around the fold after I took the photo. 

Vinyl purse

I finally finished my version of Linda Hansen's purse. It turned out really cute, but not sure I would make another one. If it weren't for Lynne M. and Elisa, my Stampin' Buddies,  I probably wouldn't have attempted to make this on my own. I used the Urban Garden DSP with the Baja Breeze Stripped Grosgrain 5/8" ribbon & the Baja Breeze Double stitched 1" ribbon. My purse isn't quite the same measurements as Linda's. The eyelets are double set. I even thought I broke my Crop-a-dile. The plastic material is thick, and you are going through 4 thicknesses, (is that a word?) We had fun making our purses together. It took us 2 evenings, but we finished last night. I forgot to take a photo of Lynne's and Elisa's purse. 

Sizzix Top Note Box

I got the pattern for this cute box from  Shannon W. Griebe. It uses the Top Note die and the Bella Rose DSP. The flowers on top of the box are made with the scallop circle cut in half and then into a cone shape. I used Crystal Effects to glue them to the top of the box. Thanks Shannon for this awesome project.

Sizzix Top Note Binder Clips Name Tags

 I have my first Stamp Club tomorrow and I made these for my Girl's. I used 2" binder clips with the Sizzix, Bigz, Top Note and the flowers are from the Birds & Blooms dies. The DSP is Urban Garden. I also used the large oval punch. And of course the new 5/8" Striped Grosgrain ribbon in Kiwi Kiss & Baja Breeze. This ribbon is so yummy! But I'm sure you already know how great the ribbon is from SU. Can you believe I didn't stamp do any stamping. I did sponge on everything......

Sizzix Pennant Die

Are these not the cutest? I cased them from Patty Bennett's blog. I used the Maine Blueberry DSP and the Pennant Die & also the Top Notes die. You also get the scallop flowers that are on the same die as the Pennant die. I cut in between each scallop and added an Old Olive 1 3/8" circle and a white 1 1/4" circle punch. I used the level 1 hostess set, Best yet and also the large oval with Holidays & Wishes. Almost forgot the tab punch on the white Top Note die. You can click on the photo to see it larger. 

These are for 2 of my best friends. Hopefully they won't see these before their birthdays.

Holiday SAS

Yesterday I had a wonderful group of ladies attend my Holiday Stamp a Stack. They were a delight to have. They loved my stamp room, but so do I. My DH is very good to me. He told me I need a small refrigerator in my room, yeah! So I will post a couple of the cards today. Most you can figure out, but if you need any specifics, send me an email. I have to say thanks to Dawn at Dawn's Stamping Thoughts for my version of her Frankie card.  The tree is embossed with gold and I used the new ribbon in the Holiday Mini. The last card with Jocelyn's (my granddaughter) photo in is  12 x 3 7/8 c/s scored at 3".

Clear Album

I've been wanting to make one of those acrylic photo albums for a while now, but SU doesn't sell them and the ones I've seen are at least $14.99 each. So I was talking to a friend, (thanks Elisa) and she said that she's made them using our Paper Holders that are found on page 195 in the catalog. I found these photos in an envelope in my craft room when I was purging. I was going to make my Uncle a little album from the photos of my niece's high school graduation and our time together, last year. I know, I do have the best intentions, just don't always follow through with them. 

Back to the album. I must say it was a little tricky doing each page so the adhesive doesn't show on the next page.  But I think it turned out pretty cute!

I used the Maine Blueberry DSP, On Board Lower Case Alphabet left over from convention, the Hidden Garden bulk rub-ons, Bigz, Top Note die & Circles, Scallop #2 die, Birds & Blooms Scallop Circles die, and my Bind-it-All.

I embossed the letters with clear embossing powder and added ribbon to several of them, and also on the binding.       

I can't seem to get my photos to appear in the right order. And I can't get the last 2 photos to load onto my blog. If anyone has any tips for me, I would love to hear from you. It's times like this that I think I will NEVER get this computer stuff..........

Bigz Scallop Envelope Box

Checkout the box I just made with the Bigz Scallop Envelope Die. I found this on Fireflies and Flutterbyes blog, (thanks to my Sister). I ended up using adhesive to hold down the envelope flaps, she didn't adhere her flaps. This was so simple. You use 4 envelopes and adhere the side flaps together. Look what I got in the mail last week. Pam Downs from Controlfreakswappers sent me this gift for the tea bag card I gave everyone who met at convention. This is similar to the ones I made, but she put  4,  3 x 3 note cards and envelopes in hers and also put the whole thing in a cellophane bag. Mine I put candy in a small cellophane bag and stuck it inside the envelope. I like her version much better. She even attached a small card to the outside. If you click on the photo, you can see that she used Crystal Effects on the card with the cherries and a little glitter on the strawberry. So cool! Thanks so much Pam, you made my day.

Ok, so finally you really can leave comments on my blog. When my DH tried to help me with this a couple of weeks ago, we still thought you couldn't leave comments. Then, much to my surprise I saw I had 2 people leave me comments. Thanks Connie Babbert and Shona Watson. I really wish I got all this computer stuff. Just when I think I do, something happens and I don't.

Swaps

I haven't posted in a while, I've been busy purging my craft room. I have way too much stuff. Don't tell my husband........Anyway I have 3 swaps that I signed up for, what was I thinking? That's almost 100 card fronts. Well here is my first swap for the new catalog for the Controlfreakswappers. I am using Flight of the Butterfly, and the new "In Colors", Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point & Baja Breeze.
