Here is my version of Patty Bennett's C/D Album. I used "Summer Home" Simply Scrappin' kit, and added the 1" Double-Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, in Chocolate Chip, and a small piece of Kiwi Kiss/Vanilla Satin Ribbon to the front cover. The rest of the album uses all the C/S, DSP and stickers from the Scrapbook Kit. I made this album for my "Adopted Mom" Carol. She turned 70 years old in September. She loves my Granddaughter's like they were her own and I wanted her to have a memory of the 4 of us celebrating her birthday. The Girl's helped me make cup cakes for her, and she has lunch with us on Thursday when I have the Girl's. She always brings us soup from Panera's. Jocelyn and Gianna are great soup and bread eaters. I can never get my photos to load in the right order. So sorry!
We made this cute little box in our Stamp Club this month. Of course we used the Sizzix Top Note as the front and the back. I found this tutorial from Angie Tieman. She modified the "pizza" box pattern for this great box. We also used the Ghostly Greetings DSP and the Pumpkin Pie 1/2" striped grosgrain ribbon. The bats are made with black c/s and the square scallop punch. So easy, and cute too! These would be really cute out the Christmas DSP too. Fill this up with some home made fudge, or some wrapped candies, and you have a simple little gift. Great for teachers, neighbors, and people you just want to have a little something from you.
Can you believe these cards? And I did them. Of course with the help of Michelle Zindorf. A friend of mine, (Hey D) told me to check out the class with Michelle. Michelle is well know as the gal who does beautiful cards using a brayer. I drove an hour and a half to Sunnyvale, CA to attend her class. It was so worth it! We also got to do a bonus card front, I need to finish it before I can show you. This class was amazing. If you ever get the chance to take a class from Michelle, do it! She came all the way from Ohio. Now I want to take her advance class. I hear that one is the bomb too. So I will keep my fingers crossed that she will be back next year with more classes at The Cranberry Hill Mercantile in Sunnyvale. You can see more of Michelle's beautiful work on her blog.

Yesterday morning (4am) my husband let my dogs out to go potty and they got sprayed by a skunk. Poor Jeremy (brown dog) got it square in the face. Couldn't even open his eyes. So we sprayed off his head in the shower. Didn't really want to bath them at 4am. Cassie (tan dog) got a little too. So I slept on the couch for a while then got up and gave them each a bath. Got most of the skunk smell off the dogs, boy that Dawn dish soap is the best. But now my house smells gross. Luckily the weather was nice (in the low 80's) and I had the windows open and all my candles burning.

Here are the two other cards we did last Sunday. The first one has a Kiwi Kiss base, with the Holiday Treasures DSP, Riding Hood Red and Whisper White. We used Season of Joy, stamped in Riding Hood Red. You can't see it in the photo, but I stamped the 3 flowers on the bottom with Riding Hood Red as well. Finished off the stamped piece with some Riding Hood Red satin ribbon. I forgot to mention that we used the scallop edge punch on a piece of Chocolate Chip (goes under the DSP)& Riding Hood Red. Added some gel pen dots in each of the scallops.
On the second card the only stamping we did was the sentiment from Heard from the Heart in Craft Whisper White. The snowflakes are cut with the Sizzix Bigz dies, one in Brushed Silver and the other in Ballet Blue, finished it off with a Riding Hood Red Little Felt Flurries found in the Holiday Mini, and a Clear rhinestone from the Pretties Kit. The finished size of the card is 5 1/4" square in Night of Navy.

The first card is using Real Red C/S and Holiday Treasures DSP. I used A Flower for All Seasons & Punches Three stamp sets. Colored in the stamps with Real Red, Old Olive, Brocade Blue & Creamy Carmel markers. I cut the words from A Very Merry Christmas and mounted it using the new Vanilla Hardware. The final touch is Baja Breeze Stripped Ribbon.
This card is very simple. 3x6 Whisper White C/S on Kiwi Kiss C/S and then I stamped, Kiwi Kiss using the snowflake from Snow Swirled on Whisper White. The Peace is from the Sixxiz, Join the Cheer Decorative Strip Die. And finished up with Kiwi Kiss/Vanilla satin ribbon. This was a fast & simple card.

This is what Lynne and I did on our Tuesday stampin' day. I guess we really didn't stamp, but you get the idea. Lynne saw these on someone's blog, so we used the same pattern for the Frankie box as we did on my earlier post using the Top Note Die by Sizzix. The sucker is using the Pillow Box die. They are so cute. Who wouldn't want to receive one of these guys?

This little box was so easy to make and only takes a few minutes. I used the Top Note die from Sizzix and DSP from the Patterns Pack Designer Series Paper,( Hostess, level 1). I didn't even have to cut the DSP. You fold in each side and adhere using a mini glue dot. Then fold up the bottom and secure with another glue dot. I added a Felt Flurrie Snowflake with a Real Red brad. Thats it. Inside I put some Hershey Kisses in our small cello bags and tied it with the Real Red Striped Grosgrain Ribbon. This could make such a cute little gift for a, teacher, neighbor, friend. My friend, Deirdre sent me the directions for this box, but I don't know who to thank for the idea. The gal who designed this box didn't put her info on the directions. This is almost the size of a small french fry box.

Here is another box using the Pennant die from Sizzix, Item #113483 but this time I used the Ski Slope DSP from the Holiday Mini catalog. (See page 12 of the mini catalog, Item #112994). I also used Baja Breeze c/s and grosgrain ribbon. For the inside I used the Large Scallop die #113468 & I cut 2 of them, cut one in half and added a strip of DSP to match the box. I added the Snowflakes set #2, Item #113449, to the large scallop with 2-way glue and put one on the scallops from the pennant die with dimensionals. The scallop has 2 dimensionals on the bottom attached to the box and this holds the top flap down. I know "clear as mud" right? I added a gift card to the large scallop. You could also put a c/d inside of the box. I love when you can find another use for a tool. Who would of thought to make a box with the Pennant Die? I need to thank Jennifer Buck for her tutorial. You can see her tutorial here. The Buck Stamps Here.

The man in the brown truck just delivered this great Kit. I couldn't believe how much stuff is included. A 6 piece die cut stamp set,Tombow Multi Glue, 3 stampin' spots, white taffeta ribbon, silver elastic cording, clear rhinestones, dazzling diamonds, (whole container)dimenstionals, Whisper White craft ink, 4 sheets of chipboard, 8 pieces of DSP that is die cut for you & 4 pieces that are not and 2 sheets of Whisper White card stock. The cost of this kit is $49.95, but is well worth it. You have everything you need to make a whole bunch of ornaments, garlands, the possibilities are endless. I can't wait to get started making these. Hopefully I will have some time this week-end. This kit will be available to order on November 1st through December 31st (or while supplies last), and Stampin' Up will have a huge spread in Country Living Magazine ( item #114447) in the December issue. I almost forgot to mention, the Designer papers are so yummy! It's so nice that we don't have to cut out the DSP to put it on the chipboard. Stampin' Up already did it for us. Yeah! I will start posting samples as soon as I get them done. I have a Holiday Stamp-a-Stack that I'm getting ready for on Sunday. You can click on each photo to get a better view.

Check out this cute box. Would you believe you make it using the Sizzix Pennant die? My Tuesday session with Lynne, this is what we made. You can find the directions on The Buck Stamp's Here. I used some DSP that is very old, not even double sided. How quickly we become spoiled. You could fit a c/d in this as well as candy. I'm thinking Christmas. So my next one will be out of Christmas DSP.
When I went to Patty's meeting last month,(click on her name and check out her blog, she does some great stuff). Sharon showed us the cutest trees made from the Sizzix Pennant die, and showed us how to take the rhinestone brads out so you can use just the stone, so easy. On this card I cut the trees from the Holiday Treasures DSP, and cut out just the "joy" from the Join the Cheer Decorative Strip in Whisper White. You really can't see it in the photo, but it really is there. I should mention that you use the small pennant and cut your DSP 1 1/2" x 2" and fold in half and put on the die. You can really make these trees what ever size you want by how you place your DSP. She had tall skinny trees, fat trees, all different sizes to make a small forest. I really fell in love with the trees no matter what size they are. I did make a large one, but I used some left over DSP from last year. I will be making more of these babies thats for sure!
I just wanted to thank Heather Wright-Porto. I was having trouble getting my Spooky Spider flyer on my blog and she helped me. I finally got the flyer on but then I couldn't find the right link so you could click on it to see it. She has many tutorials on Sudsol that helped me as well. I was able to change my blog banner, color and add a few other items as well. I am looking forward to the day when all this stuff makes sense to me. I have to remember I am so much better now than 6 months ago, it just doesn't seem like it when you are struggling.
Again, thanks Heather, you rock!

Did you notice a few changes on my blog today? I am still having trouble getting the Spooky Spider flyer to appear on my blog, but I changed the header and got the Holiday Mini Catalog on the side to appear, Yeah! I just don't think I will ever, ever get all this computer, blog stuff straight.........
