Envelope Purse

Here is another version of the envelope die purse. Instead of glueing the flaps down like in my previous box you leave them up and use the small oval punch to make a handle. Too cute! I used the DSP, ribbon and stamps from Sale-a-bration. You do know that means they were FREE! right? I used markers to make the stamp 2 different colors. Click on the photo to see it larger. This holds 2 Ghirardelli Chocolate candies inside.

Here is my last project from Patty's meeting

We made this cute little album at Patty's meeting. I just finished putting in the photos of my Granddaughter's. The girl's each got a new baby for Christmas and they were playing on the bed in the spare room when my husband took these photos. They are total girly girls and love to play with their dolls. Its funny this was a last minute gift and probably the one they liked the most. 

What is so cool about this album is that we used all Sale-a-bration items, the paper, stamps & ribbon. I love how all of our punches coordinate with the Polka Dot Punches stamp set. No cutting required. I also used a couple of the Sizzix Sizzlits and an alphabet from Sizzix as well. Once I got the photos I was going to use this album went together fast. I always like fast!

Luv 2 Stamp Make n takes

I had such a great time at Patty Bennett's meeting with the Luv 2 Stamp ladies. Next month I will become an official member of Patty's downline. I am so excited.  The only card we made was using Garden Greetings (see page 55 of the catalog) stamp set. We also got to use the Texturz Plates that are for the Big Shot on the Kiwi Kiss c/s. Click on the photo to see the texture on the Kiwi Kiss c/s. The bottom of the card is stamped with Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango & Pacific Point. The rick rack ribbon is from the Ribbon Originals, and the flower brad is one of the Designer Brads that are new this catalog.  This is another simple but very cute card. Love simple and cute, don't you?

Then we cut out the Circle Scallop from Sizzix and made this cute little cone.    Added a little bit of sticky tape (about an inch and a half) and shaped the scallop into a cone. We put an incentive stamp in a small cello bag, tied it with ribbon and done. Cute and fast, gotta love that.

Next Patty gave us a sample of each of the "Taste of Textiles" c/s. (see page 156). These papers are so elegant and thick. We used the Crop-a-Dile and punched a hole in all 5 pieces of c/s at the same time and added one of our new Jumbo Brads. Love these too! She also gave us a label to attach with all of the order info. 

So on top of the make n takes we got some great business tips and 3 other demonstrators gave presentations that were fabulous as well.

Luv 2 Stamp Swap Card

Saturday I'm going to Patty Bennett's meeting and this is my swap card. I really love the new stamp set, Fifth Avenue Floral.  Stamped one of the flowers with Versamark, and embossed with white embossing powder. Used the 1' circle punch on bottom right side and attached to Whisper White c/s. Added the Congratulations and used the slit punch on the bottom right so I could slide the Kiwi Kiss striped grosgrain ribbon thru it and tied it up with Linen Thread and a "button" from one of the Sizzix Sizzlits button die.

St. Patrick's Day "Money"

I found these on Linda Heller's blog. I don't usually make anything for St. Patrick's Day, but thought these are so cute. And I love the fact that I didn't have to buy another stamp set to make them. Can you guess which stamp set I used? Click on the photo to see it better. Still can't guess? Love You Much stamp set & Heart to Heart punch. I stamped Green Galore on Green Galore c/s, using the scallop stamp, punched it out with the scallop punch, stamped it again on w/w using my marker to ink up only the Hugs & Kisses and the circles around the scallop stamp. Punched that out with my 1 1'4" circle punch and mounted it with a dimensional onto the Green Galore Scallop. I stamped the 3 heart stamp in Green Galore three times and punched out with the Heart to Heart punch. Used mini glue dots to add them to the white circle. I didn't have the right green ribbon so I used my re-inker and a little water to dye my white grosgrain ribbon. I used my Top Note die in Glorious Green for the topper. Stapled that to my bag of "money" added the ribbon and then the scallop on top of that. Simple & cute, my kind of project!

Another Scallop Bag with Scallops

Here is another scallop bag, but this time I used the new DSP, Parisian Breeze Specialty. I know I've said it before, but I love this new DSP. I also used Lots of Tags, which is an exclusive die that you can only get from SU. The Chocolate Chip 1" double stitched grosgrain ribbon goes so nice with this paper as well.  For a finishing touch, I finally got to use some of the new Corduroy Buttons. The holes on the buttons are big enough to get the Whisper White Taffata ribbon through. You get 3 different sizes and a combination of buttons, and brads. These are so cool! In the upcoming mini catalog they are adding Baja Breeze Corduroy buttons too! Yeah! Those will look so nice with the Parisian Breeze Specialty DSP too.

Stamp Club Project for March

Here is our project next month. How cute is this? I used the Tea Party DSP and Boarding Blue c/s. I also used lots of flowers that are stamped and cut out and a couple of embosslits. Click on the photos to see them better. I wrapped a jar of frosting in DSP as well and tied a bow using the ribbon from the Sale-a-bration bundle (you can get it free with a $50 order). The test tubes really should have sprinkles for your cupcakes, but I don't think sprinkles with carrot cake would be good, so I filled them with candy, which you can eat while you are waiting for your cupcakes to bake......For the tab  I used from the Bag w/scallops Sizzix die (just the middle piece). I was pretty proud of myself for thinking that part up. Even though  I cased the original idea from someone else. This would be a nice gift to give someone who has everything, because they won't have this, right?

Also, did you notice my embosslits? I sanded the raised part to give it a different look. A lot of c/s that you get else where has a white core, so when you tear the c/s it has a white edge,  SU's c/s has the same color all the way through it. But on the DSP you can sand and get a while edge, pretty cool, isn't it? 

Diaper Cake

I made this diaper cake for my daughter's baby shower this week-end.  72 diapers rolled up with a rubber band around each one, 3 layers. I have a baby bottle in the middle of the bottom and part of the middle layer. Then I bought a little blanket with the a puppy attached, so hopefully Anthony will only want to carry that blankie around and not the big one. I put little socks, a couple of wrist toys, a boo-boo cow, (in his tummy there is a plastic cube that you freeze and then put back in the cow for boo-boos), pacifier (when you drop the pacifier it automatically closes up so it doesn't get dirty. Got to love that!), & a teething ring.

Then I made her some thank you's using Baja Breeze and So Saffron c/s. I found a card in one of the magazines the I get and thought this would be a cute thank you card. I used the 1 3/4" circle punch and one of the Sixxiz Texturz plates to emboss the top of the rattle. For the handle on the rattle I punched a 3/4" circle punch and then a 1" circle punch over that to get the ring. Then I used my scallop edge punch to punch the corner on one side and rounded the other corners. (Thanks to Patty Bennett's tutorial) Added some ribbon and  sponged around the edges and then you are good to go.

Card Purse

Here is another Card Purse using the Urban Garden DSP and the Upsy Daisy stamp set. I hardly ever use white card stock as my base for my cards, and here all the cards are Whisper White. This DSP is so stunning that the white really shows of the paper. The flower on the purse is from the DSP. I just cut 3 different flowers and layered them on top of each other and then curved the paper a little to give it dimension. Click on the photo to see it better.

Stamp Club Project, Card Purse

Check out the project my Club Gal's did yesterday. I found this pattern on Julie's Paper Pleasing Idea blog. We used the DSP, ribbon & stamp sets from Sale-a-bration which are all free. (Free item from the Sale-a-bration catalog for every $50 you spend). Click on the photos to see them better. We also used the Texturz Plates and Emblosslits from Sizzix on the cards. The Girl's made 4 cards with envelopes that fit inside the purse. This would make such a cute Easter, Mother's Day, or Just Because gift. 

Sizzix Texturz Plates

On another Sizzix note; I't been reading a lot about the Texturz Plates. Many people have said if you spritz your c/s with rubbing alcohol before running it though the Big Shot you get a deeper impression. So I decided to try it. And you know what? It worked. So I made a sample of each one,  both sides, using the In Colors for my card stock, punched a whole in the corner using my Crop-a-Dile (CAD) and added a ring to keep them together (thanks to Patty Bennett for that great idea). So now I can look at each design to decide which one I want to use on my project.  If you click on the photo, you can see the different patterns.

Movers & Shapers Curly Label die

Can I tell you that I love this die? The curly label actually is a perfect mat for the Curly Label punch., Yeah! I also used (for the first time) the yummy Parisian Breeze Specialty DSP. These designer papers are so awesome, a little thicker than the textured card stock. Then I stamped a flower from the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set and cut it out. Love this new stamp set too! Added some ribbon, and of course I sponged around the whole card with Baja Breeze. The little flower on the Curly Label is from Itty Bitty Buds, level one hostess set. So many new products in one little card. I wanted to add more, but sometimes, "less is more" if you know what I mean.

Valentine Card for my Husband

Here is a Valentine card I made for my husband, along with some home made peanut brittle. I saw on someone's blog this very simple but nice card they did with the Heart to Heart punch, this is my take on their card. Can't remember where I saw it. I used some rub-ons (retired) for the jar and stamped Love you much to hang from the lid. The Bashful Blue hearts on the right I just punched the card itself and put the blue underneath the punched hearts. Used my white gel pen to add some dots and dashes. Very hard for me not to use pink or red. I was trying to make a "Man" card. So what do you think? Does it look like a "Man" card to you?

Cat Pouch

If you remember on an older post(Jan. 3rd), I made a monkey pouch. Well I needed a cat one for my other granddaughter, so here it is. I cased one that was on SplitcoastStamper's and gave it my twist.  I used the large Sizzix Scallop circle for the base and several circle punches for the rest. The ears I just cut triangles. I put some hair doodles in each of them (the cat and the monkey)and gave it to them  for Valentine's Day. They were getting a little candy from the Valentine's I made for them to take to day care, so I didn't want to give them more. I thought hair doodles it is!

Baby Shower Favors and Card

I'm having a baby shower for my daughter this month and these are the invitations and favors I made. For the card I used Nursery Necessities stamp set, the DSP is Maine Blueberry (retired) and Whisper White Taffeta ribbon. For the favors, I cut out the pillow boxes using acetate. The stamp set is from last years Sale-a-bration, So Many Scallops.  My daughter's MIL found these cute candies at Michael's, they are little pacifiers. My daughter already has 2 girl's, Jocelyn is 3 & Gianna is 2, and the new baby is a boy. His name will be Anthony Miles. Since all of the baby stuff from the girl's is pink & lavender we thought a shower was in order. You know pink & lavender just won't work for a boy. I made up 45 invitations and 40 pillow boxes. If you click on the photos you can see them better. I really don't like the way the photos end up in my post. Not sure how to fix that issue.

Sizzix Box #2

I'm on a roll now....Next is the Sizzix box #2. This is so easy to put together. You only use one small piece of sticky strip to keep it together. I used the DSP, ribbon & stamp set from Sale-a-bration. And also the heart punch. I wrapped 3 Hershey mini candy bars with DSP and I was done. Took me 5 minutes to do the whole thing. This project would be perfect for a small gift. Doesn't cost a lot and easy to do.

Mini Magazine Holder

 I finally got my new box of goodies yesterday, so today I'm finishing up several projects that I started and was waiting for the new stuff to come. Yeah! This is my version of the mini magazine holder with four 3 x 3 cards, and envelopes. I used the DSP, Polka Dot stamp set & ribbon from Sale-a-bration. Now you all know that with a $50 order you can get these same products for free. This was a quick and simple project. I also used the new heart punch, 5 petal punch and the 1" circle punch, so no cutting. I know many of you don't like to have to cut anything out, so this is a good thing. I love to cut out, but try and limit the cutting for my classes. Its the same thing with bows, everyone panics if they have to tie a bow, again, I don't have a problem with bows. 

Valentine Treats

I found these cute little Valentine Treats on this blog. I made these for my granddaughter's to take to day care next week. 

I used the Sizzix, Top Note die and scored on each side at 2 1/8", (long side). I stamped the Love You Much scallop on Holiday Treasures (retired) DSP and also on Whisper White c/s in Basic Brown ink. Added the red heart using the Heart to Heart punch. Also used gingham ribbon (retired).  Stamped "Happy Valentine's Day" inside on the top flap using the stamp from Holiday's and Wishes.

Haley Loves to Curl Up in my Craft Room

This is my cat Haley. She is setting in my little bar sink that I have in my craft room. I think she is waiting for me to turn the water on so she can get a drink. In the morning and evening when I'm getting ready, she always wants a drink out of the bathroom facet.  Haley often visits me while I'm in my room and likes to "help" me, or look out the window. 

Sympathy Card

The base of my card is Going Grey. I stamped with Versamark on Pink Pirouette and embossed with while embossing powder, using Embrace Life stamp set.  I then took my sponge dauber and rubbed Pretty in Pink on each petal. To give the flowers more dimension, I curled the petals with a pen. Added some Pretty in Pink Taffeta ribbon and stamped "With Sympathy" from Loving Memories (retired) to finish it.  This card is for my SIL who lost her husband last week to cancer. It has been a rough few weeks for her.
