Notebook & Calendar Class

Edited to add: I just realized that I did not share the inside of my notebooks with you. I think I was so excited about the front, that I just forgot.
Inside: I purchased notepads at Staples and had them cut about an inch off the bottom to fit inside my case. Added a strip of dsp to match the front & cover up the Staples at the top of the pad and the calendar (from word) goes on the opposite side. I attached the calendar on the back side of the front, that way it won't get messed up because its under the plastic, clear as mud???
Today I had my Notebook & Calendar class. Now I didn't think up this class, my upline, Patty Bennett did. But I did make the center of the book in My Digital Studio, (MDS). So if I can do it, so can ANYONE! and I mean, ANYONE! I just realized that I didn't tell you what the notebooks are made from. They are our stamp cases! You can get 4 cases for $4.98, #119105.
This first notebook, I used the Love Birds Borders, (from MDS) the backing is Subtles Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack, #117152.
This next one is the Ice Cream Parlor, (MDS) and then the same dsp which is from Sale-a-bration. I think this was everyone's favorite one. Since I had a lot of the ribbon that went with this dsp, we added a ribbon bow.
This last one is From the Strength & Hope Digital Kit, (this is available on May 1st) and these back round papers are also from the Subtles Designer Series papers.

More Decor Elements!

My post from yesterday was Decor Elements on my laptop. Today, its adding some elements to my grandkids boxes that I put their names on. It was really hard to photograph. This is the top of the box.
I used, Fun Flowers die, #121812 & Blossom Party die, #115971, & Flower Daisies#2 die, #114520. Die cut several layers using Certainly Celery, #118806 & Tempting Turquoise, #118807 Decor Elements.
I couldn't put flowers on Anthony's box, so I used Circles #2 die, #114526. And then I remembered I had some Chocolate Decor Elements and that would work great for a Build a Bear, #117977. I dressed his bear in the Beary Essentials die, #117978.
This photo is a bit blurry, but I couldn't get a good photo for some reason, probably, user error......

Check out my New Laptop!

After seeing Patty Bennett's, GOT STAMPS? on her laptop last year, I knew I wanted to do the same thing to my new laptop.
So I ordered some Decor Elements Sheets in, Tempting Turquoise & Certainly Celery,(we have 18 different colors, plus chalkboard vinyl, see page 205)and then I got busy. I used my Big Shot to cut out the Alphabet Simple Letters, #115960 which I got at an extra 15% off for my Birthday in January, (a new perk at Stampin' Up!, on your birthday you will get an extra 15% off, (on top of the 20% off you already get off for being a demo)of one item on your birthday month.) How cool is that? Sorry, got a bit off track......So I cut all the letters from the Decor Elements, and some flowers too. I used Fun Flowers, #121812 & Blossom Party, #115971.
My husband said, " I pimped out" my computer. I don't think he will be using it much........oh darn!

Pearls, #119247

Tip: To make the flowers "cup" like I did, place the flower in your hand and using a stylist, push in the center and the flower will "cup". You can also use your Mat pack, #105826 or mouse pad and lay your flower down and using your stylist, push in the center.
Tip: To make the gathered Early Espresso around the large oval, simply punch out your card stock with the Eyelet punch and put it through your Paper Crimper, #101631 several times until you break down the fibers. Add sticky strip to the back of the oval and gather the c/s as you stick it down.

Strength and Hope Card

This card was cased from Regina at Stamps Alot. I changed it up a little bit to make it my own. The gals in my Stamp-a-stack loved this card! Thanks Regina!
I used the Hope & Strength stamp set that will be available on May 1st. $2 of every stamp set goes to Cancer Research.
I stamped the butterflies with Versa Mark and embossed with clear embossing powder onto the Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper. Then I took my brayer and Not Quite Navy ink and brayered the whole piece, buff off the butterflies with a paper towel and you have a beautiful and unique piece for your card. You can see the dsp through the clear butterflies. I love this technique.

Easter Cards

Here are two cards we did in my last stamp-a-stack. This first one is a sneak peak of the new Designer Series Paper that is in the Summer Mini, Beyond the Garden. This paper coordinates with the stamp set Fabulous Florets also in the mini and both will be available for purchase on May 1st.
This card really didn't need a whole lot with that gorgeous dsp, so we added a strip of Daffodil Delight using the Ribbon punch and tucked in under the dsp. Added one of the Four Frames that is a sneak peak from the upcoming 2011/2012 Idea Book & Catalog.
This next card I cased from Connie Babbert. You can see her card here:
http://inkspiredtreasures.com/challenges/build-a-blossom-spring-creative-project/
She also has a tip on how to make the bird wing & the center of the flower.
Sweet Stitches dsp, #121781
Pear Pizzazz card stock, #119795
Daffodil Delight card stock, #119683
Daffodil Delight & Early Espresso ink

Pick a Petal Thank You Card

This card was given to me by one of my customers, (Hi Tammy), isn't it cute? I must say that I haven't used this stamp set in a very long time.....need to get that baby out!
Tammy used the Pick a Petal stamp set, #115042 and all the petals are cut out from the In Color Hostess pack (level 1), #121028
The card opens from the center and the petals are divided so each side has petals, pretty clever, isn't it?
Thanks Tammy for the gorgeous card!

Check out How I Used Decor Elements for the Names of my Grandkids!

When my grandkids come over they LOVE to color, cut, & stamp. They had all their supplies in a small pencil box. Well, that is not working anymore, so I found these containers at Target.
Added their names to each one, using the Decor Elements Sheets. They come in 19 different colors. You can see how I lined the letters up and tilted the box so I could get an idea on where I should place the first letter.
Here they are all done!
I bought this alphabet set with my extra 15% off in my birthday month. Another perk of being a demo. The set is called: Bigz Alphabet Simple Letters, #115960. We also carry a matching Numbers die, #115968. That will be next! Now I need to buy some more Decor Elements Sheets in a couple of different colors so I canadd some flowers on the boxes for the girl's. Not sure what I'm going to put on Anthony's box.

St. Anthony's Spring Boutique

I participated in a small spring boutique last week-end and here is what my table looked like. I only had a few items to sell, mostly related to Easter.
Here is a plate of Fun Flower Pins.
Skinny Bags with the same bunny as the carrots. I decided to make them in all the colors of the Easter M & M's. You can get these skinny bags at: clearbags.com.
Here are my Bunnies peeking around the Carrots. You can see the directions for the carrots in this post.
Here is what my table looked like with everything set up.
I made my Top Note Labels with prices in My Digital Studio. So much fun!

Butterfly Post-it Notes!

Last week when my club gals were here making their Butterfly cards and box, Kellie had a great idea. Why not make one of the note cards into a Post-it Note Holder. So I cut one of our Scallop Square, #115950, (the one that is see through), I stamped around the edges, since you won't see the middle as its covered up with the Post-it Notes and using Tombow glue adhered it to the square. Added my 3" x 3" Post it notes with Sticky Strip. Check out what a great gift idea this is!
In this photo, you can see it from the side. Plus you can lay the butterfly down flat to package it nicely. Then just show the recipient how to pop up the butterfly. Super easy!
Thanks again to Kellie for this fabulous idea!

Our Stamp Club Project for April

This month my Club Gals made these cute little butterfly cards and holder. I gave everyone a different color, (but of course, I forgot to take a photo) they all turned out so cute. Special thanks to Caro for her great blog post with instructions. These cards are really easy to make using the Butterfly Die, #114507. For my cards I used Perfect Plum and stamped the Elements of Style flower stamp onto white confetti card stock. We used our stamp pads and Blender Pens, #102845 to color in a few of the elements, added some of our Pearls, #119247.
You can't see it very well in this photo, but we also made a little holder to put these notes into. They fit perfect into our Mini Envelopes, #107309.

Blossom Petal Flower Cards

I found these beautiful flower cards on Tami White's blog. Can you guess what punch was used? Yep, it was the Blossom Petals Extra-Large Punch, #121808.
I started with a Whisper White base and embossed each card using the Vintage Wallpaper folder, #120175 or the Elegant Lines folder, #119277. You will notice, I only embossed about a 1/3 of the card.
This card I used Rich Razzleberry ribbon and card stock. The center of all the flowers is Daffodil Delight. And the leaves (using the same punch) and the stems are Old Olive. I used the Two Step Bird Extra-Large Punch for the stems. The sentiment is from Hodgepodge Happiness, #120570. I used the Wide Oval punch, # 119859.
This card I used Concord Crush Ribbon and card stock.
You know I had to make one out of Baja Breeze.
This one is Marina Mist, ribbon and card stock.
This last one is Pretty in Pink.

Zippy Strippy Purse!

I found this pattern (Zippy Strippy, Atkinson Designs, #ATK-149) online back in January. So I thought I would make one using our Springtime Vintage Fabrics, #121817. I think it turned out pretty cute. Not sure what I will use it for yet. It was pretty simple to make. I get together every week with some friends and we quilt or sew. I can't say that I'm a quilter, yet! Lets just say, I'm a work in progress......
Here is a side view.
