Perfectly Preserved Project

Isn't this cute? Thank you to Melissa at rubberfunatics. I found her cute project on Stampin' Connection which is a Stampin' Up! website for demos only. A perk for demonstrators. You can find all kinds of samples using stamps, dies, MDS (My Digital Studio) and more.  Become a demo, and you can have access to Stampin' Connection too! Ask me how!  I'm having a class on Wednesday, October 17th at 6:30pm, Cost: $15. RSVP by: 10-15-12. This is a fun project that doesn't take long to make. A little stamping, a little die cutting, and a little gluing.
Edited to add: I've added another insert for Christmas. This one I designed all by myself. Patty did suggest tipping one of the jars.......You will receive one frame with your class fee.

If you don't have this bundle yet, you really, really need it!

This is another fun stamp set. I love it for "man" cards especially. But it goes perfectly with the Perfectly Preserved.

Peacocks in the Middle of a Busy Street! What??

So today I was coming home from the gym......and this is what I saw, peacocks! The cars were waiting while they crossed a busy 4 lane street. There was over a dozen of them. I have no idea where they came from. I didn't get a photo of them all, wish I had.

And here is my "assistant" Walter. Apparently our trip to Costco just exhausted him so much, he needed to rest his head on the bag of potatoes we bought. Normally he would have been resting in my sons lap......but Walter wasn't being a good boy like he usually is.........just didn't want to be on his leash....Silly boy!

Wonderfall Wreath

This wreath is the project my Stamp Club gals will be doing next week.

I printed the "grateful" from the Bright Blessing Stamp Brush set in My Digital Studio, (#127404), it has 12 stamps.
I've had a couple people ask me how I attached the leaves. HOT GLUE! that way I know they won't be coming off.

Here is a close up of some of the leaves I stamped and/or distressed.

This is what everyone will see when they come into my craft room. I hope they all know how "grateful" I am for their friendship & our stamping time together.

Happy Hour!

Sorry my photos are so red. I found this cute card on Pink Buckaroo Designs Blog.  (Just click on the blog name).

The card holds these cute little drink packets from Crystal Light. When I saw these packets, I thought you added them to liquor.......nope, just put them in your bottle of water. I haven't tried them yet, but thought they were so nice to put in this card. I found them at Target next to the other Crystal Light packets.

This one uses the Essentials Designer Fabric in yellow.

Here is a side view.
Here is what I used:

Tempting Turquoise, 4 3/4" x 4 3/4" embossed with the Fancy Fan Folder or Chevron Folder

Pumpkins! How to!

I've had such a GREAT response from my pumpkins. Here are the directions.
 You need:
2 - 1" x 12"
2 - 1 1/4" x 12"
3 - 1 1/2" x 12"
Edited to add: score your dsp every 1/4".
Tip: take a 9" x 12" piece of dsp or cardstock and score the whole sheet, then cut into the strips.
I put a 1" circle punch on both sides of the 1" strips. I used a 1 1/4" circle punch on both sides of the other rosettes.
For my pumpkins I added the Wonderfall leaves, and the little curly cues are tiny strips of cardstock that I wrapped around a skewer. For the stem I broke down the fibers on a 1" x 3" piece of Soft Suede cardstock & split the cardstock, then rolled it up adding a little glue and twisted the stem, hot glued it onto the pumpkin.
Here are the other two pumpkins.

Don't forget, for EVERY $40 you spend, you can choose a FREE spool of In Color Ribbon. Click here to ORDER!

When I saw THESE cute little treat bags on Monica Davis' blog, I knew they would be the perfect Thank You for my club gals. Here is my version. Orchard Harvest dsp (for the tops of the clothes pins)
Vanilla cardstock
Wonderfall & One in a Million Stamp Set

More Lillipops!

I made this this Lollipop for Saundra's Birthday. I knew she liked Purple & anything that glitters.
Here is what I used:
Empty Brad or Button Container, take off the labels and wash
Blue Ribbon Stamp Set
Polka Dot Parade dsp (I used the Rich Razzleberry dots for the ribbons)
Silver Glimmer Paper (make sure you check out the next photo)
Rich Razzleberry cardstock
Rich Razzleberry Ink
1 1/4", 1 3/8", 2 1/2" Circle & 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punches
Crop-0-dial
Medium Cello Bag
1/4" Rich Razzleberry Grosgrain Ribbon
Lollipop Stick (you can find these in the cake decorating section)
Candy to fit into your container
Hot Glue

Check this out; since you only get 2 -12" x 12" sheets per package, I try and save EVERY scrap. Now I just needed the edges of my 2 1/2" glitter paper to show, so I had already die cut the snowflake for something else. I just centered the snowflake inside the punch and used it to go under the Ribbon. Pretty clever if I don't say so myself! I've done this before, but never shared. This is a GREAT way to save on your paper and no one will ever know. I added a Scallop Circle on the inside of the lid so you can't see the snowflake cut out. You can add 3 of these little candy bars, (its a tight fit), but I wanted wrapped candy. A Reeses Peanut Butter cup with fit in too.

Here is a close up. I love making these "Lollipops" and you will see more of them in the feature. Think Halloween, (I already showed you these, HERE, Thanksgiving & Christmas).
