February Stamp Club Projects

This is what my Stamp club will be making next Tuesday, Feburary 5th. They wanted to make some cards this month. I found this great box on Michelle Suit's blog. Click HERE! The cards were cased, but I couldn't read the watermarks on them. I tweaked them a bit and made them my own.
Here are a couple of the cards we will be making. Want to come to my Stamp Club? I charge a $5 class fee (to cover my supplies) and a $25 order (before shipping and tax). No commitment, just come, make our projects and place your order. If you would like to join, you will be a hostess and receive the hostess benefits for one month, and bring a snack to share with everyone. Its that simple!

Remember, you can get these products for free too! For every $50 you spend you can choose one item in the Sale-a-bration Flyer.

One Spec-tacular Card!

I won the Single Stamp, Spec-tacular, at Patty's meeting earlier this month. I was stumped on how to

So I challenged myself to make a card. I really wanted a saying that said "Can You See Me Now?" or "I Can See You". And then I saw the "There's Only One You" in the SAB set called, Vintage Verses. Ok, now the wheels are turning........

This is what I came up with. What do you think? You are probably wondering where I got that punch or die for the saying.......I used one of the Apothecary Accents Framelits, but I altered it a bit. I took a piece of Whisper White card stock cut at, 4 1/4" x 2" and gently folded it in half. I laid the folded edge just above where the bump is, used a sticky note to hold it down and ran it through my big shot.
You can see how I lined up the folded edge. Sorry my acrylic plate is so well loved......

It makes it just a little bit longer so I can stamp my saying in the center. You can do this technique with lots of different dies.

Here is what I used to make my card:

Raspberry ripple base, 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", #126842
Whisper White card stock, 3 1/2" x 3 1/8" & 4 1/4" x 2", #100730

Can you guess which dsp I used for these cards?

These are all from the Print Poetry dsp Paper Stack. I love almost everyone one of them.  Did you know you could die the Ribbon Roses any color you want? I just took a marker and added color to the top of each rose, gives you a two toned rose.

Chalkboard Tecnique-Have You Tried it Yet?

This was my first attempt for this technique. I made this card for my swaps at Patty Bennett's Meeting last Saturday.
I have a lot going on for this card. What was I thinking, when I knew I had to make 25 of these?? Tip: To cut out the honeycomb's I ran my dsp through the Big Shot using the Honeycomb EB Folder a couple of times (back and forth) and then cut them out. Easy peasy!

Here are the supplies I used:

Calypso Coral Card Stock, #122925
Basic Black Card Stock, #121045
Tea for Two dsp, #129311
Oval Framelits Dies, #129381
Honeycomb EB Folder, #129378
Framed Tulips EB Folder, #121809
Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon, #122332
White Embossing Powder, #109132
VersaMark Ink, #102283
Paper Doily, #129399
Craft Whisper White Pad, #101731

You might notice a couple things different on this post. I FINALLY have a watermark on my photos. This has been such a struggle for me. Thanks to my husband. He also was able to get my "pin it" button on after each post. I couldn't use the watermark that was made for me as it was blurry after I imported it. Seems the image was too small, so we made up another one. Not as fancy, but it will do for right now.
