Pop-Up Posie Dresses

After seeing Kimberly Van Diepen's blog post with these dresses, I knew I wanted to make some for myself.
All of the dress skirts are using the pieces from the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit in the Spring Catalog.

This one uses the paper cups in the kit. Just fold each cup in half and crumple it up. Then un-crumple and hot glue to your dress form. I used the larger ones at the bottom, smaller ones at the top. Finished it off with a Pool Party Seam Binding bow and some pearls. I had a piece of the Early Espresso Tulle left over from the Holiday catalog and added that to the Antique Spool with hot glue.

This one uses the Calypso Coral Flowers in the kit. Just fold in half and hot glue to your dress form. Added a crochet bow and more pearls.

This one uses the Pool Party Flowers from the kit. Made it the same way as the Calypso Coral Flowers. Added a Whisper White Organza Ribbon bow and more Pearls. Decided to add some Pearls to the wooden spool as well. I had one little piece of the Early Espresso Tulle left and I tied it around the spool and added the Large Pearls.

Pop-Up Posies Kit, # 131395, $12.95
All Dressed Up Bundle, (stamp set & Framelits) #131095
So, wouldn't you want to have these on your desk to see everyday? They just make me "happy". Thanks Kimberly for this FABULOUS idea!

I purchased some "antique" spools at a local Antique Shop. Used hot glue to glue the skewers into the spools. Also added a dress form to the back so they look nice from the back as well as the front.

Happy Hello Simple Sent Sale-a-bration Kit

Have you ever needed a card "quick"? I know I have. The Sale-a-bration, "Happy Hello Simply Sent Kit" is just what you need.  You can put together one card in a couple of minutes, really! You can get a package of these (8) for FREE with a $50 order (before shipping and tax), or maybe you might get a kit in the mail from me.....I am going to be mailing these "card kits" out to 10 of my customers. Not one of my customers?? Tell me why I should send you a kit in the mail.
You will receive everything you need to make this card. The flowers and grey border are stickers so you won't even need adhesive. You will also get a matching envelope.
Want to see what else you can do with this kit? Check out these little gifts you can make with the same supplies and maybe a few things you already have on hand.
The one on the left uses one of the envelopes. The one on the right is one of the cards. How clever is that??

Add a little cello bag with some candy and you have a nice gift for a co-worker, neighbor, teacher, coach.

This one uses the envelope and holds a large cello bag. I added the handle, the ticket punches & the grey punched piece under the flower.
So, now are you convinced you want/need this kit? I'll email you the instructions to make both of these little gifts. They are both super simple and only take a few minutes to make. So if you needed a bunch of these you could make 8 from the card and from the envelope.

Already have this kit. Like me on Facebook. I will post the directions on my Facebook Business Page. Click HERE to go directly to my Facebook page.
Edited to add:

I am having computer issues and not able to put the directions to make the box and bag on my Facebook page. So, if you have "liked" me, send me an email (cindee@pacbell.net) with your address, I will mail them to you. I am really sorry about this.

Whole Latte Love Card

I had stamped the coffee cup a while back for another swap I was in. This one was left over and begging to go on another card. You know how any type of flags are in right now, well I think I saw this on Pinterest.

So this card uses the Tea for Two dsp and the awesome Ribbon Roses. I am in LOVE with these roses. I did stamp the coffee cup again and cut it out and attached it to the other one I had stamped. I love the 3-d look you get when you fussy cut an image. Now if you don't like to cut, then don't. I love to cut (as long as I'm not doing 50......)

Madison Avenue Card

For this one I had stamped the "flower" and die cut it using the Apothecary Framelits die and then decided it wasn't right for the project I was doing. So I couldn't let it go to waste.
I started with a Rich Razzleberry base (cut at 4 1/4" x 11"). Then I took another piece of Rich Razzleberry cut at, 3" x 5 1/4" and ran it through the Big Shot using the Vine Street Embossing Folder, another Sale-a-bration item. Layered that piece on my card base Added a the Delicate Details Lace Tape to cover up the edge of the embossed piece. Then added a strip of Pool Party cut at, 3/4" x 5 1/4" that I stamped thank you from the Made for You stamp set. Added my SAB ribbon, button and a few Rhinestones.

More Amore Thank You Card

Here is my next card using the left over pieces. I had one more of the Valentine Square swaps left. I was also on a mission to use ALL of the More Amore dsp. I don't have much left over.
Seems all the cards I made are thank you's. I can't have enough of those.
Here is what I used:

Pool Party Base, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", #122924
More Amore dsp, 5 1/4" x 4", #129309
Hearts a Flutter Framelits, #130159
Scallop Square Punch, #119884
Postage Punch, # 122344
Perfectly Penned Stamp Set, #122892

Tip:

I took a scrap of Pool Party card stock and folded it in half and then used the framelit with the scalloped edge. That way you get both sides with the scalloped edge. Make sense?? Email me if you have questions.

Valentine Square Swaps Turned into Cards

As I was cleaning up my work space last week, I realized I had a bunch of stuff that I didn't use for one reason or the other. So I challenged myself to use those pieces to make a card. So for the next four days I will show you what I came up with.
You might recognize those butterfly squares. I made them for my Valentine Swaps. I must have miscounted, as I had a few left over. So I turned them into 2 thank you cards.

The butterflies are sewn onto the cardstock. I layered 3 butterflies and sewed a straight stitch through all the layers.
Here is what I used to make this card:

Crumb Cake card base,  4 1/4" x 11", Crumb Cake, #120953
Crumb Cake 5 1/4" x 4" embossed with the Honeycomb Folder, #129378
Primrose Petals card stock, #126841

Bitty Butterfly Punch, #129406
Extra Large Oval Punch, #119859

More Amore Fabric Wreath

This is one of the projects I've done for Stamp Academy. My husband bent a wire coat hanger into a heart shape for me. Then I used strips of the More Amore Fabric by Stampin' Up! to tie to the heart shape.
This was a really fun project. And once you have your strips cut (I used a rotary cutter and mat) it goes together really quickly.
Here is what I used to make the wreath:

More Amore Designer Fabric, #129307
Ribbon Roses, #1268693/8"
Primrose Petals 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon, #126844
Pool Party 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon, #125582
Pool Party 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon, #122975
Wire Hanger (to make wreath base)

Valentine Square Swap

I almost forgot to share my Valentine Frame with you. Its the same frame I had the Halloween and Christmas squares in. I just took those out and put the new ones in. I will save them all for next year.
Here it is with the frame closed. The frame has a magnetic closure and its deep for those 3-d squares. Love that!

Here it is open without the glass and you can see them a little better. Aren't they all beautiful? And that More Amore dsp is perfect for the background, don't you think? It is even more stunning IRL! Thanks to all of our Luv 2 Stamp gals who signed up for this swap. Pretty soon I will have our "Spring" swaps ready to put in my frame. I was on a mission to use up all of this dsp. I almost did it. Just a few small scraps and a few hearts left.

Be a Big Shot Class! Dress Up Framlits

This is what we will be making in my next Be a Big Shot Class on Tuesday, February 19th, 6:30pm. RSVP by: February 13th. This frame was so much fun to make! I found inspiration from Patty Bennett, Kimberly Van Diepen & Becky Roberts.
All items are Stampin' Up! except for the frame. I did use some retired Cherry Cobbler TulleI used the Artisan Embellishments Kit to jazz up the $5 frame from

This one uses one of our Doiles.

Our yummy Ribbon Roses in the Spring Catalog.

Beautiful 1 1/4" Two-Tone Pink Pirouette/Rose Red Ribbon.
This one is my FAVORITE one!
Contact me today to sign up for this class. Space is limited!

Delicate Details Lace Tape

While at Leadership last month they had a demo on the Delicate Details Lace Tape. I had purchased it but hadn't used it yet. Check out this card.
Now you are probably thinking, boy she used a lot of tape for one card.........not so much! I used one strip and then sponged it, peeled it up, and laid it down again and sponged it, using a long sticky note on the other side so I wouldn't get ink where I didn't want it. I kept doing that until I filled the whole card up. Its so cool that the adhesive is already on the tape. I used it 5 times for this card, and its still sticky to use again. So this was a pretty simple card after you did all your sponging.
Delicate Details Lace Tape, #130999, $9.95

Paper Doilies, #129399, $2.95

Apothecary Accents Framelits, #127003, $24.95

3/8" Raspberry Ripple Stitched Ribbon, #126845, $8.95
Here is what else I used for this card:

Raspberry Ripple card stock, #126842
Whisper White card stock, #100730
Raspberry Ripple Ink, #126859
Extra Large Oval Punch, #119859

Open House

Last Saturday I had my Spring, Sale-a-bration Open House. Each person made a card and a candy treat to take with them.
On the left is, Alyse, Sue & Louise. Right side is Carol and Cathy.

If you click on the photo you can enlarge it to see all my samples. Thank goodness for Leadership swaps and Luv 2 Stamp swaps.
They choose to make either a sleeveless dress or with sleeves. I used Sycamore Street dsp and the All Dressed Up Framelits. Everyone loved playing "dress up".

I think this is my favorite pattern in the Sycamore Street dsp. We also used the Vine Street Embossing Folder you can get for FREE with a $50 order.

This treat is a "matchbox". It closes like a book a matches. Inside is an M & M treat. Can't believe I forgot to take a photo of the inside......These use the More Amore dsp. And those larger hearts are part of the package. I sheet of the Real Red ones and I sheet of the Primrose Petals. This idea comes from Melissa Stout.
