Gorgeous Grunge!

Is fast becoming one of my all time FAVORITE stamp sets. We got this one in our Convention Bag. I cased this card from Carrie Pretty much copied her card with the exception of the greetings. I used one for an anniversary card for some dear friends and one for a birthday card for another dear friend.
This one is more like Carrie's card. I LOVE, LOVE these colors together!

Here is the side view. I added a large Deco Labels die cut to the inside of the card and stamped on it too.

This one is the Anniversary Card. I love this saying from Yippe-Skippee!

I used the new Sizzix Envelope Liners Framelits Die to line my envelope. Since I didn't use any Designer Series Paper, I just cut them out with Whisper White cardstock and stamped on them and  inserted them inside my envelope. Pretty snazzy don't you think? You can purchase these Framelits on August 1st.

I'm Back From Convention!

Boy do I have a lot to share......First a couple of photos.
This was the opening ceremonies. Ryan from The Voice sang our new theme song for the year, Make a Difference. Amazing!

Here is Patty Bennett and I waiting in line for the bus to take us to the Home Office.
Stampin' Up! had all kinds of surprises for us. Everyone won Prize Patrol on top of all the other goodies they gave us. We are all given a wrist band (in different colors) in our bags. When they show that color on the big screen, those people get whatever they are giving away.  The last color to be called was Crushed Curry, only 25 people who hadn't received their prize patrol. Wanna guess what the prize was?? How about EVERY stamp set in the Holiday Catalog. How cool is that? 31 stamps for FREE!! JoAnne in our Luv 2 Stamp group won that prize. Yahoo, JoAnne!!

Have you ever thought you might want to go to Convention? Watch this video of the opening ceremonies. Its long but worth it.

So now that you've seen the video, don't you want to join the Stampin' Up! Family? Here's the deal:
When you join you can choose one of the kits in the flyer for FREE! And if we (all of us who attended convention) get 3,000 people to join, we get an Exclusive All Occasion Card Kit. I will invite all who "sign up" over to make some cards using this kit.

Butterfly Meets Washi Tape

Kind of a snappy title don't you think? This is another way to use that Washi Tape from What to Washi Bundle, #134743.
I punched out the Bitty Butterfly and put Washi Tape all around the edges. Then took my 2 1/2" Circle Punch and punched over the Bitty Butterfly. Then I took and punched the Elegant Butterfly, and punched the 2 1/2" Circle Punch over that Butterfly. I added dimensionals under the large butterfly and attached it to the smaller butterfly. Kind of cool, don't you think?
Here is what I used to make this swap card:

Sweet Essentials Stamp Set, #126457
Whisper White cardstock, # 100730
Rose Red cardstock, #102544

Wildflower Meadow Swap Card

Did you know that you can use the Shimmery White cardstock to watercolor? It works almost as good as the Water color paper. And since I didn't have enough of the water color paper to make these swaps, I used Shimmery White cardstock.
I lightly spritzed the stamp after I colored in the flowers with markers and also the paper. Just one spritz. It gives the look of water coloring.
Here is what I used to make this swap card:

Wildflower Meadow Bundle, #132985
Gingham Wheel, #130110
Curly Cute Stamp Set, #120510
Blushing Bride cardstock, #131198
Blushing Bride marker, #131265
Primrose Petals cardstock, #126841
Primrose Petals Ink, #126858
Primrose Petals marker, #126844 (all of the In Colors, 2012-2014)
Marina Mist  marker, #119679
Pear Pizzazz marker, #131266

Too Kind Swap

I love this stamp set and also these colors together.
I love these two step stamps too! I haven't used one in a long time. Using the Gingham Wheel is a great to use in place of ribbon. Don't you think? Makes the card less bulky.

Here is what I used for this card:

Too Kind Stamp Set, #130450
Gingham Wheel, #130110
Deco Labels Framelits, #130102
Whisper White cardstock, #100730

Let the Fun Begin!

Last night we had our first Opening Session. What a blast! Shelli gave us our bag, a beautiful back pack, that has a ton of pockets and zippers, and feels really good when you put it on your back. I will have to say, with almost 6,000 of us we kept running into each other.
The theme this year is "BE the Difference"

Patty Bennett and I trying to hold on to all of our stuff......

We took a bus ride out to the Home Office of Stamp'in Up! This is the front of the building.

This is upstairs.

This was opening session. Stampin' Up! always has a new theme song every year. The stage was beautiful!

We even got a visit from Ronald McDonald. This is a charity that Stampin' Up! works very closely with and donates a lot of money.

Will try and post more later or tomorrow. We are busy, busy, busy!

Washi Tape Swap

Ok, this might have been ok for a "man" card, if I had left off the little flowers.....right?
This one was super easy!
Here is what I used:

Daffodil Delight cardstock, #119683
Honeycomb Embossing Folder, #129378
Sweet Essentials Stamp Set, #126457
Whisper White cardstock, #100730
Basic Grey Ink, #126981
Daffodil Delight 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon (retired)
Epic Day This and That Washi Tape, #131269
Gingham Garden Washi Tape, #129314
Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, #118309
Basic Pearls, #119247

I just realized that the ribbon is retired. Geez, now I can't swap them at convention......

Tip: to make the flowers: I put Washi Tape on a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock, then punched the flowers, easy peasy!

Starting today I will be sharing the swaps I've done for convention. I've done several different designs, but a few of each. I seem to get bored when I have to do too many of the same thing.

Scissor Charms, More Convention Gifts/Swaps

I had purchased a bunch of the Soda Pop Tops from the Spring Catalog so I could make some of these Scissor Charms for convention. But I just ran out of time, so I only made a few.
Here are a few of them. I taped them (on the back) of one of the Chalk Talk Framelits. Pretty cool idea, don't you think?

This one is Wisteria Wonder.

Cherry Cobbler for this one.

Here is what I used to make the Scissor Charm:

A Round Array Stamp Set, #129090
Soda Pop Tops (Large, retired)
Whisper White cardstock, #100730
Basic Black Cardstock, #121045
Chalk Talk Framelit, #132730 (bundle)
Misc. Ink and matching cardstock
Crystal Effects, #101055
Rhinestones, #119246
Ball and chain, (Home Depot in the lighting department)
Small Avery Labels, #5267

Bloomin' Bouquet Project Kit

So you remember my bouquet of flowers, right?
This is what you your kit was intended for.
I was trying to think what am I going to bring my stampin' friends at convention? Then I had a light bulb moment......
Why not some flowers to add to their lanyards?

Close-up of one of the flowers from the kit.

Patty (friend and upline) gave everyone in her group these blinged up lanyards, so I thought why not add a flower or two........then I needed more flowers. I have LOTS of convention friends........
So I used the Flower Shop stamp set and matching punch (you can get 15% off if you buy the bundle) and the Blossom Punch (bigger flower).  Looks cute with the Banner Greetings as the leaf don't you think?

I stamped the bottom two flowers with the En France stamp before putting them together. Now I know you are going to say, the Flower Shop flower has 5 petals, and only 4 petals are showing. I put them together just like the kit flowers. Cut into flower about half way, then glue one petal under another petal to make it "cup". I hot glued them onto the punched Blossom flowers. I had some of the small Soda Pop Tops left over from the Spring Catalog and added them to a couple of the flowers.
Flower Shop Bundle (stamp set & matching Pansy Punch), #132726 (save 15% when you buy the bundle)
