Butterfly Basics Birthday Card

I received a swap at Leadership from Valerie Malkus that my Stamp Gal's saw and wanted to make that exact card. So here is our card. I used the Butterfly Basics Bundle (stamp set and Thinlits Dies, get 15% off when you buy the bundle). I used the Naturals Ivory cardstock and stamped the ferns with Old Olive. On some of them I stamped again without re-inking. Add the beehive stamp with some Gold Metallic ink. Then on the Early Espresso, I used one of the butterflies as a stencil to add the Yellow Citrus Chalkboard Ink. Top it off with a Gold Butterfly and some Pearls and call it done!

Again with the weird photos......

Don't forget the sentiment stamped in Early Espresso.

4 New Sale-a-bration Items added! Adventure Awaits Club Card

Have you heard the news? Stampin' Up! is adding 4 NEW items to the Sale-a-bration items already in the catalog. Yahoo! You can view the whole 2 page pdf HERE!
For Being You Stamp Set, In color Accessory Pack

Nature's Perfection Stamp Set and Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum Stack.
You can start ordering on Sunday, March 1st.

The Gals in my Stamp Club wanted to do a "man" card and the Adventure Bound dsp stack is the perfect paper. You really don't need too many items to make this card. This idea comes from my friend/upline Patty Bennett. I did emboss the sentiment using the Adventure Awaits Stamp Set on Vellum, add a clip and some Linen Thread or Baker's Twine and you're done. I'm sure your wondering how I adhered the vellum to the dsp......do you see in the center where it says, The Road? I put 3 glue dots on the back and another one at the tip of the clip on the back side.

I used Mossy Meadow as the card base for the card above.
Not sure why my photos are different colors. I took several photos and just couldn't get great photos......
And Basic Grey for the base on the card with the rocks. This truly is a 5 minute card, only because of the embossing........

Painted Blooms Butterfly Cards

My Club Gals will be making one of these cards next week. I'm going to show everyone how to partly cut out the butterfly. Thank you to Deb Valder for this wonderful idea.

These cards are pretty fast to make once you know how to partially cut out the butterfly.
And you just can't go wrong with the Painted Blooms dsp.  I used one of the greeting from Lovely Amazing You. I love this set, and will be using it quite a bit.

Artisan Embellishment Kit, 3 Cards and a Berry Basket

Have you noticed this kit in the Occasions Catalog? Well this Past Saturday we are had a downline meeting using Go To Meetings. (This way all of the demos who are long distance can participate). And Patty Bennett (my upline) wants us to share a project or card using this kit. So here is what I came up with.

I've got 3 cards and the Berry Basket decorated with items in this kit. I have even used one of the laser cut pieces as a stencil for the middle card and part of the tag for the Berry Basket. We are using the Butterfly basics and Thinlits Dies for our meeting, so I tried to keep it to those products. I did add in a few other items, Berry Basket, Happy Hearts Embossing Folder, Simply Wonderful (SAB), Crazy About You Stamp Set for the To You From Me on the tag.

You can make quite a few projects with this kit. Tomorrow I will show you the make n takes from Saturday. More on the meeting tomorrow.

Butterfly Basics Swap

This is the last swap card I made for Leadership. I think this is another Pinterest find. I love Lost Lagoon and Calypso Coral together. I used several of the stamps in the Butterfly Basics stamp set. It has matching framelits and when you get the bundle you save 15%. The flower is from Crazy About You and punched with a 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch. The Washi Tape is Sweet Dreams.

Not sure which color I like most for the card base. Calypso Coral or Lost Lagoon? Which one do you like more?

Big Day Birthday Card

This is another card we made in my card class this month. I saw a couple cards on Pinterest that I liked and then changed it up a bit. This is what I call a "faker Shaker" card. You take two Window Sheets cut at, 3 1/2" x 4 3/4", and add Washi Tape on 3 sides so that it wraps around to the bottom Window Sheet. Basically you are making a "pocket". Then punch your stars from the Confetti Stars Boarder Punch, add some Bermuda Bay Sequins to the pocket and add your Washi Tape to the top. Next I added the Celebrate your Big Day with dimensionals to the shaker, add your Calypso Coral Baker's Twine, and the Happy Birthday sentiment. I used glue dots under the big circle to adhere to the card. That way you don't see the adhesive through the window sheets. Use your grid paper to line up the Washi Tape.

This would be a great card for male or female. The gals that came to my class seemed to love it.
The Big Day stamp set is from Sale-a-bration, so you can get it for FREE with a $50 order. Who doesn't like FREE?

Okay, your turn, make a "faker Shaker" card and send me a photo. I'll add it to this post.

Project Life Cards/Weekly Deals

Have you ever thought to use the Project Life Cards to make Greeting Cards? I used the This Day Project Life Mini Card Collection that is in the Sale-a-bration catalog and you can get FREE with a $50 order. I used just a few other items to complete my cards. Take a look.
Don't you think they turned out cute? These cards are really cute all by themselves. The ribbon is another Sale-a-bration item you can get as well. I just added the card bases to match and a couple of word stamps. You can make these up super fast. I still had lots of cards left over, this was just the beginning. Can you imagine if you used one of the Card Collections that has over 100 double-side cards per collections? How many cards you could get from that one kit? You can view all of the kits on page 189 of the Annual Catalog. Each kit is $15.95 and you can also get the Accessory Packs that coordinate with the Card Collections, they are $9.95. We have 5 Card Collections in the Annual Catalog and one in the Occasions Catalog along with the Mini Card Collection in the Sale-a-bration Catalog.

I just had 141 photos printed today. Next to start getting those photos into the Project Life Photo Pocket Pages and into an album. No more, I don't have time.......

Here is a list of all the Project Life Collections we now have:
