Timeless Textures, Thank You's, Swaps, Last Day for Sale-a-bration

Being that it is the LAST day of Sale-a-bration, I've got a fun technique to show you today using the Metallics Glitter Tape. This item was added in February.

I started out making some swaps for the OnStage event happening next month at Stampin' Up! Then I liked the card so much I made them for other things too. Just goes to show you that you can change the sentiment to match the event using the same supplies.

As you can see in this photo I didn't add the sentiment because I was going to use the Metallics Glitter Tape and realized that it will no longer be current next month for my swap. Oops! Need to use only current product when making swaps.
I used the Timeless Textures stamp set around the Whisper White Thick Cardstock. I tried different colors of the Dotted Lace Trim, Watermelon Wonder and Tip Top Taupe. Using the Fun Flower and Pansy punches, punched each flower and stamped with one of the images in that stamp set. Finished each flower off with one of the In Color Blossom Accents and a pearl (looks like my middle card lost a pearl).

Then I needed a card for my newest team member, Cheryl Carpenter. I used the Watermelon Wonder 1" Stitched Ribbon (love this!) and a Vintage Faceted Designer Button and some Linen Thread.

Next I needed some thank you cards. Now I'm going to show you how fun this Glitter Tape really is.
I saved the glue dot backing to use on the Glitter Tape. Its the perfect size. You just lay the Glitter Tape on the backing and die cut. Like magic! But, make sure you color it first then die cut, and using your Silicone Craft sheet makes clean up so easy. Just use a wet paper towel or baby wipe and the ink comes right off.

Friends and Flowers Baby Card/Update on Remodel

This was another card we made in Stamp Club this month. I always ask the next hostess what she would like to do for our projects. One of things she wanted to do was a baby card.

We used the Friends and Flowers Stamp set along with the Color Me Irresistible Designer Series Paper, die cut with the Lots of Labels Framelits and sponged on Mint Macaron or Marina Mist. We colored the baby with Clear Wink of Stella and either Mint Macaron or Marina Mist ink from the Ink Pad lid. We also used Blushing Bride Ink for the baby face.
You can see for the Mint Macaron card I cut off the end of the die. I couldn't decide which one I liked better so I let everyone choose. Added some Tip Top Taupe Dotted Lace Ribbon, part of a Doily and a piece of the White Jute Ribbon.
The Baby was punched with the Festive Flower Punch and adhered to the 2 1/2" Circle. The  sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, stamped in Back Archival Ink.

Slow going on my craft room remodel. Ran into a hick up with one wall when we took some cabinets out. That is fixed and we are priming the walls.
These two cabinets were moved from the wall that had some issues. This is where my Big Shot will live, and the dies will be in the middle drawer (which is where they were on the other side of my room). The counter top is temporary. For right now we just (ok, who am I kidding, my husband) cut the old counter top to fit. So baby steps. On top of that, we both came down with a cold Friday evening, so that slowed us down even more. My husband keeps plowing through. What a guy! We celebrated our 38th Anniversary Friday evening with a nice dinner out. I guess I will keep him! Hahaha! He always tells everyone that he "married up". I ask him, well what does that say about me? I married down.......his answer, we don't judge! Such a funny man!

Stampin' Up! Only Challenge, Easter Basket

It's that time again for another SU Only Challenge. This week, Spring. You can play along too, http://suochallenges.com/.

Nothing says spring more than an Easter Basket, don't you think? It's been a while since I've shown any love to the English Garden Designer Series Paper either. After I made my basket with the Berry Basket Die, I punched a 2 1/2" Daffodil Delight Circle, added half a doily to the circle, a strip of 5/8" Stripped Hello Honey Ribbon & a pleated piece of Venetian Crochet Trim, both in the center of the circle.  I stamped my "Chick" with Black Archival Ink from Honeycomb Happiness, (Sale-a-bration item #1412) on a piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock and colored him in with Daffodil Delight Ink from the lid and my Clear Wink of Stella. I used my Pumpkin Pie Marker to color in his beak and feet. Cut him out and added him to the circle with Dimensionals. I added the circle to my basket with Dimensionals as well. Then stamped my sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes and used the Banner Punch on one end. Added that to the circle with a glue dot. Added a Flower from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack in Whisper White, sponged with Daffodil Delight. Attached that with a Glue Dot and put a It's My Party Enamel Dot in the center. Finished off with a Linen Thread bow.

I must have more candy in the front as my basket is listing.......I did add a bow to each side of the handle with Linen Thread.

I filled my basket with some shreds and a little candy. Done! I think this will be a nice teacher gift. Now 2 more to make for all three of my grandkids teachers.

Now its your turn. What reminds you of Spring? You can play along here: http://suochallenges.com/.

Enjoy the Little Things Class

This kit is so much fun to put together. We used this counter to do all the stamping and I set out all of the cards that go on the easel for everyone to see. Normally my displays is on this counter, but since we are in the middle of re-doing my craft room, this counter was perfect.

Here Claire is stamping, and you can see Susan and a tiny bit of Patty.
Tami is on the left Susan is closestand a little bit more of Patty.
You can see that you need a bit of room to spread out, which is why we did the stamping on the counter. There really isn't that much stamping and it was good to get up and stretch your legs.
Here are the products we used to make up our kit. I also made a bow with the Watermelon Wonder 1" Stitched Ribbon #140580, and added some Gold Sequin Trim #132983 to put on their Easel.  We added Pearls to the card with the Butterflies as well.

Then Patty surprised me with a little gift (ok, really it is a BIG gift). I was complaining to her that my Wood Box stamp case just wasn't working to store my Rhinestones, Pearls, Enamel Dots, etc. It was a mess......so now I have everything all organized and right at my finger tips. No more opening up the stamp case and sorting through everything to find what I needed. You can get all the details from Patty's post on how she made my organizer HERE!
I added my Fast Fuse, Snail, Glue Dots, Tear and Tape, and Fine Tip Glue to the front of the container. This sits right above my Punches and easy for me to grab. After I put those photos together I decided I needed a couple more photos to show you part of my crafting area.

You can see my set up pretty well here. I might change a few things after my room is complete, but right now this is working out well for me. I was working on some swaps, I did clean up a bit for the photo.......it was a mess.

Thank you Patty for this fabulous organizer! You can see all the products that are in my new organizer below. That's a LOT of stuff, now in one organized place.

Update on the remodel.

Going slower than we wanted. My husbands arthritis is really bothering him so he has in listed in some help. Matt is putting on another coat of mud. Next I hope is the texture. Not sure when that is happening, hopefully this week.

Happy Easter Card

This was a fun Easter Card we did in Stamp Club this month.

I really cased this from the Occasions Catalog, page 46. Stampin' Up! made a tag, I turned mine into a card. One of the main reasons I bought this stamp set is I wanted to make this cute little bunny. Did you know that this stamp set coordinates with the Festive Flower Punch that was offered in the Holiday Catalog? I used it to punch the bunny ears and a 1 1/4 circle punch for the face. I stamped all of the bunny parts and sentiment with Basic Grey Ink and colored in the ears and cheeks with Pink Pirouette and Wink of Stella, then punched. I added the ears with Glue Dots, then the Bow Paper Clip.

I used the Color Me Irresistible Specialty Paper (again, I am in LOVE with this paper) and die cut with the largest, Lots of Labels Framelits. Oh, and when you die cut yours, make sure the rain drops are going the correct way....lol. I cut the the circle with the Circle Framelits at the same time.  And then cut the bottom off.
The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. I used the banner punch to punch both ends.
I love the beautiful saying in Suite Sayings

Here is a list of all the products I used. Click on the photo and it will take you to my Online Store.

Looks like I left off the Basic Grey Ink Pad, #140932, $7.

Only use the Hostess Code if your order is under $150.
