Thanks for Being You!

This is one of the cards we did in my Card Class this month. I saw something similar on Pinterest. Many of these products are retiring at the end of May.
The Decorative Mask I used is the Dots and Stripes. I used stick notes to mask off the part I DIDN'T want colored. I started at the bottom with Wisteria Wonder, then moved to Perfect Plum and finishing with Elegant Eggplant, by using a Sponge Dauber. Keeping with the "circle" theme, I embossed with the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder,
(1" x 4 1/4"). Then I cut out a strip of Elegant Eggplant and die cut using the Striped Scallop Thinlits and glued it to the back of the embossed dots. Sadly all of these products are on the retirement list.
The Vellum was stamped with Versamark and embossed with White Embossing Powder. Are you wondering how I adhered the Vellum? See where the Button and Rhinestone are? There is a Glue Dot under them. Holds the Vellum perfectly and you can't see it. Win, Win! I finished off with a Linen Thread bow for the Button and a few more Rhinestones.

These are the three colors I used:

I appreciate you using the Hostess Code. I try and send a small little something with my Thank you cards.

Stampin' Up! Only Challenge

Yep, its that time again. You can play along too, The theme this week is Congratulations (Including Graduations). Can't wait to see what you come up with.

I have a little story about my card......While in Salt Lake week before last week, I met a lovely young lady at the Brighton Store, Tori. Tori commented on my bag tag and said she had been thinking about signing up to be a demo, but just had no time right now as she was graduating from college in a couple of weeks. I told her Paper Pumpkin would be perfect for her and she agreed. She rang up my purchase and we continued to chat. I was telling Patty, and she said, send her a kit! Why didn't I think of that? So I sent her a kit last week along with this graduation card.

I used the stamps and kit from the March Paper Pumpkin Kit to make her card. Since I  didn't have any graduation stamps this kit was perfect. The only thing I added was the 2 doilies and the punched Itty Bitty Flowers. So, even though this kit wasn't designed to make this card, I was able to change it up to suit what I needed. Love that about Paper Pumpkin.

So I hope you play along with this weeks Challenge.

Total happiness if you ask me! Now you might wonder how I got these new colors so early? Well, if you attended the OnStage 2016 event in Salt Lake last week we got to pre-pre order. Yep, you read that right. One of the perks for going to Stampin' Up! events. This time we received the new catalog....before everyone else, yahooo and got to do a pre-order before the actual pre-order begins on May 3rd. So as I ramble on, do you want a new catalog? Well, if you've purchased from me in the last 6 months I will send you (or you can pick up) a catalog for FREE! If you don't have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and would like one, I would only ask that you pay for shipping, $6. Email me at: We will be ordering soon and I want to make sure I have enough, so let me know!

It's My Party Washi Tape Swap Card

Well, looking thru my photos, I guess I didn't take a photo of the finished card.....and I swapped all my cards. That's what I get for finishing these up at the last minute.......

But I did take a photo on how I did the Washi Tape. You will notice that I'm using my Silicone Craft Sheet. It really helps because the ends won't stick to the craft mat only the cardstock. I just went back and trimmed with scissors. Another thing you might notice, I keep all my Washi Tape on big 3" rings. This way I can keep all of one product suite together. No guessing as to which ones match. My ring above has all the It's My Party Washi Tape.

Here is my stack of swaps. I cased the card design from something I saw I Pinterest.

Card Base, 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Crushed Curry
4" x 5 1/4", Thick Whisper White,
Scraps of It's My Party Designer Series Paper Pack for the balloons
It's My Party Washi Tape

I finished off my balloons with the Black and White Baker's Twine and a couple of the Enamel Dots that go with this product suite.

All of the It's My Party Suite of products are on the retirement list. You can view it HERE!

I forgot to add the Silicone Craft Sheet, #127853, $4.50. If you use a hot glue gun this is a must have. Hot glue or any type of glue won't stick to it. It just peels right up.

Remarkable You Swap and Team Cards

I started off making these cards for my "Top 2 in Sales" and decided to make a bunch for swaps at our OnStage 2016 Event in Salt Lake. I'm so happy this set is NOT retiring.
And thank you to LeeAnn Greff for this wonderful design.

These cards are so fun and easy to make. Here's what you need:

4 1/4" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/2" Thick Whisper White cardstock
3" Whisper White Circle (from the Circles Framelits)
4" x 4" Basic Black cardstock
3" x 4 1/2" Basic Black cardstock, to die cut Deco Label Framelit
1" strip of Vellum cardstock

1. Stamp your flower onto your 3" Circle of Whisper White, stamp again on scratch paper, sponge, then fussy cut out. Add Dimensionals and add to your 3" Circle. Color in the stem with your Pear Pizzazz marker, glue to the Black Deco Label.

2. Stamp the leaves with Versamark Ink onto the 4" x 4" black piece, add your Clear Embossing Powder and heat. This piece will go on the front of the card base.

3. If you set your card base onto your grid paper (I must have deleted this photo......urggg) and take your Deco Framelit piece and set it on top of the card base for placement. Make sure you put the Deco Framelit piece just below the 5 1/2" mark so it will fit into a regular envelope. Pretend my card is all really needed a visual on this part of the card. My Deco Framelit should have been down just a little bit, but at least you get the idea. Hard to take a photo and hold down the card base at the same time. Use Fast Fuse to glue it down.

4. Punch one side of the 1" Velum with the Curvy Corner Trio Punch (can't believe this punch is retiring....insert sad face here), as shown below, then stamp and emboss your sentiment, then cut right side 3/4" from the end of the sentiment, punch like the left side and add your Glue dots as shown below and put a Rhinestone or Pearl on the front to cover up the Glue Dots.

Makes for a a different kind of card, don't you think?

My Top 2 in Sales for March each got one of these cards along with some new Paper Snips with a Scissor Charm using the Have a Cuppa Embellishments. Patty Bennett did a video for how to make the Scissor Charms and you can view it here:
Kind of a fun gift and easy to make. And its always nice to get a new pair of Scissors.

Sunburst Flower Tags

What started out as a couple of bag tags for the Red Bags that Patty gave us turned into a whole lot more. As promised.
Pretty isn't it? But wait......
I already teased you with this photo last week. I used the Itty Bitty Flower (which is retiring.....WHAT? insert very sad face here) and punched several flowers and used them for the center of one of the flowers in my tags for the Banana Bread. I colored the Pearls with a Black Sharpie Marker. Make sure you let them dry a couple of minutes before putting them on your flower.
I added them to the center of my Crushed Curry Flowers in these tags.
Patty invited me to have dinner with her, Shelli and Sara and their husbands. This was part of her Million $$ Achiever. Can I just say.....Shelli and Sara are exactly like you see them on stage, funny, nice and so much fun to be with.  We had the best dinner, sharing food, stories. They totally make you feel like you have been a part of their family.
Well, I couldn't go empty handed. I was thinking, what could I bring the Co-Founder of Stampin' Up! and the CEO? Hmmmmmm.............
Whole made Banana Bread and make a pretty tag to go on each loaf. So I got my Pampered Chef 4 loaf mini pan out and made my bread.
Funny fact: I found out Sara doesn't like banana's. Didn't even think about it until later that night when I was replaying the whole evening in my head. Oh, no! At least the tag was cute!

Wrapped each loaf in Press n Seal, and the 1" Watermelon Wonder Stitched Satin Ribbon. Then added my tag.
The base of my tag is a piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock cut at, 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" and I corner rounded with the Project Life Corner Rounder Punch. I stamped the edge with one of the Timeless Textures images in Sahara Sand. Added half a doily and half a Metallic (gold) doily. I hot glued my flowers to the tag so they wouldn't fall off. How embarrassing would that be? The sentiment is from the stamp set, Num-Num and I punched it out with the Large Oval (also retiring.....) Punch and hot glued it to a Clothespin along with a small piece of the Delightful Dijon Lace Ribbon, so you could just take the tag off without messing it up. Finished off with a polka dot Itty Bitty Flower. The paper is from the 2015-2017 In Color paper Stack. I also used the Gold Wink of Stella to add some spattering.
For the Watermelon Wonder flower I used about 5 of the fringe piece from the Pyramid Pals Thinlits. I rolled each piece up and glued with Tombow. Put a glob of hot glue in the center of the flower and added the fringe pieces. When the glue was dry I kind of smushed them down and sponged the tops.

This is how I did each flower. You can leave them flat, but you know, I like everything popped up. I am really surprised out bag tags made it through our OnStage 2016 Event.
I love this color combo. So glad we have Watermelon Wonder for another year!

The Retirement List is HERE!

You can view it HERE!

After looking at the list, remember if a "bundle" retires, it doesn't necessarily mean that the stamp set is gone, just the bundle. So go to the stamp section to make sure.

Remember its "while supplies last". The In Colors that are retiring are the first to go. Stampin' Up! will update every evening (at least that is what they did last year). Some items up to 50% off!

Don't forget to use the Hostess Code unless your order is $150 or more, then you keep the Hostess Rewards.

Happy Birthday Friends and Flowers

This is another fun card we did in Stamp Club this month.

I used 4 stamp sets. to make this card....LOL! The fishy is from the Friends and Flowers Stamp Set and coordinates with the Festive Flower Punch. Of course since its a "birthday" card, the fish needed a little birthday hat. That set is on of the Sale-a-bration sets called, Hello. The sentiment is from Suite Sayings (LOVE this word set) and the forth is the Timeless Textures for the "bubbles".
Can you guess what die the "water" is from? Its a die I don't use too often, Striped Scallop Thinlits. I also used the Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper to die cut the "water".

I should mention that the card base is 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4". We used a regular Medium Envelope.

I like this color combo. Not sure I've used it before. what do you think?

March Paper Pumpkin Treat Holder

This is such a cool idea and I found it on Dawne O's blog. This is the Gift Card Holders that come in the kit. You can get 2 treats out of one gift holder.

All you need to do is cut the holder in half. Genius! Once its cut in half, you hold on the score line. Each treat will be a little different , one is a rounded edge and the other is curved. I just add some of the 1/8" Stitched Bermuda Bay ribbon around, (no adhesive is necessary). I stamped my sentiment and flowers with the stamp set in this kit on either Whisper White or Pool Party and stamped with Bermuda Bay Ink (which is included in the kit). Sentiment is punched out with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch, and added that to a 1 3/8" Circle Punch in Bermuda Bay. The flowers were punched with the flower in the Itty Bitty Punch Pack. Finished each flower with a Pearl. All items I had in my stash.
And don't forget to add your treats. I used Hershey Miniatures. They fit perfect and aren't to fat.
