Today (May 31st) is the LAST day to order from the 2015-2016 Annual Catalog. You can view the retirement list HERE!

Here is a fun project I did for my Facebook Party last Thursday, using the Berry Basket.
I used 2 new products that you will be able to order tomorrow. The Berry Basket is retiring. After today, it won't be available to order any longer......insert sad face here!
I made a "shaker" tag with the You're So Sweet Stamp Set.
Check out my video to see how I made the basket and the shaker tag.

Botanicals Wedding Card, Stampin' Up! Only Challenge

This is another card I made with my Stampin' Friends. Joy designed this gorgeous card. I thought it would make a great Wedding card. It also is perfect for this weeks challenge. You can play along too: http://suochallenges.com/ A friend of my Son's is getting married soon and he is going to give this card.

We started off with Whisper White die cut with the largest Lots of Labels Framelits, Dies. That piece was embossed with the Elegant Dots Embossing Folder and glued to the center of the Black card base (5 1/2" x 8 1/2"). I should use this folder more often.......Next add your ribbon. Since this was a card that folded on the left, I took my 1/2" Circle Punch and punched a very small bit so the ribbon could pass right through. Then we added all the die cut flowers and leaves from the Botanical Builder Framlits. (Thank you Joy for die cutting them all out for us).
I think you can see I "winked" part of the flowers with Wink of Stella. I later added the sentiment from And Many More. So glad that both of the stamp sets, Botanical Blooms, And Many More are not retiring.

This is a great color combo, don't you think?

Time is running out! Better hurry and get those products that won't be coming back.

Swirly Birds Thank You

I'm giving you a sneak peak at one of my favorite stamp sets in the pre-order, Swirly Birds Bundle. You can save (starting June 1-2016) 10% when you order the bundle which comes with the stamp set and Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies. Trust me, you will want both.

I'm also using 3 of the new In Colors, Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo and Emerald Envy. I can hear you now, ohhh, how pretty! This was a pretty simple card to put together. I should mention for the leaves, I stamped off once with the Emerald Envy and then stamped on the card or my scrap of white to die cut them. Then I used the Emerald (full strength) for the veins in the leaves
This one is the Flirty Flamingo.
Peekaboo Peach for this card base. Which do you like better? I can't decide.

I almost forgot, the thank you is also from a new stamp set, Thoughtful Banners. It has a bunch of words and a Duet Banner Punch. Another one you can save 10% with the bundle.

It seems to be a trend cutting the words apart and mounting them on your card.

Pop of Pink!

I love to send my Top 2 in Sales a fun card and a little something.

So this is what I made for Doreen and Carol. They each got a spool of ribbon from me as well.

You are probably wondering, where can I find that Designer Paper, Stamp Set? Well, come June 1st you can order your own. Its the Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper and the Layering Love Stamp Set. I die cut the heart from the new Sweet and Sassy Framelits. 15 heart framelits, whooohoo!! These framelits coordinate 5 different stamp sets. That little flower is from the Swirly Bird Stamp set and it has matching Thinlits, can we get another whoohooo?
I used the same piece of paper, but turned it over to use the other patterns. Isn't this paper cute?
You can see I did a very simple weave only at the top. Hmmmm, I should have used some of the matching Washi Tape.......darn it!

Check out this great color combo:

You can order most of these products on June 1st! 12 more days!

Botanicals, Happy Birthday!

This is another card from our day of stamping with the girls. Sharon is the fabulous designer of this card.

Card base is 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" in Delightful Dijon. The Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper is cut at, 4" x 5 1/4. Make a tic mark at 2 5/8", cut in to 2 1/8" and fold back each piece. Easy peasy!
Add your greeting (again, hanging my head, I don't know which stamp set this is from) using Memento Ink (or whatever black ink you have), add a few Rhinestones, because everything is prettier with bling, right? Then add your flowers from the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies.

Right now you can get the stamp set, Designer Series paper and dies at the bundle price which is 15% off. After May 31st, the bundle price goes away......just sayin', if you want this set, get it now so you can save $$$ for the new catalog.......This is a great bundle and the designer paper will no longer available after the 31st.

Great color combo:

Balloon Bouquet Meets Sunburst Die!

Its always so much fun to get together with friends and stamp. A couple of weeks ago, Patty, Joy, Sharon, Ellen and I got together and did just that. We all brought a project to make with everyone. This beauty was designed by Ellen McCarthy.

I would have never thought to use 2 different pieces of It's My Party Designer Series Paper and the Sunburst Thinlits Die together. The card base is 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" in Sahara Sand. Then we used a piece of the It's My Party Designer Series Paper cut at, 4" x 5 1/4", and then another piece of the same paper stack we cut out using the Sunburst Die. Ellen is just so clever. All of those pieces were layered onto the Sahara Sand card base.
Using the Bouquet Balloon punch, we punched out several balloons, added the Melon Mambo Baker's Twine to each balloon and added them to our card. A few of the balloons are attached with dimensionals, the others, snail. I added some Wink of Stella to each balloon, but in the photo it looks like the balloons are dirty......really they aren't......

I know you are going to ask where that sentiment is from.....hanging my head, I can't remember. I should blog these right away so I don't forget......urgggg.

I love this color combo. The It's My Party Suite is retiring at the end of this month. Get it while you can.

May Paper Pumpkin

Here the May Video, Many Manly Occasions

Have you signed up for Paper Pumpkin yet? I'm going to send you some fun stuff when you do sign up. Along with a wood mount stamp case and label, I will send you a little tote bag  & pen too. Click HERE to sign up! These kits are so awesome! You can pre-pay or just pay as you go. The cards in this months kits are so great for me since "man" cards are so hard. Do you have trouble making "man" cards? Can't I just put a flower and bling on every card I make? Not so "manly"......Paper Pumpkin totally solves this problem for me.

And while I should have been posting to my blog or some other important stuff I decided to get on the band wagon with these HUGE paper flowers. I only have this one finished, but have a few others cut out, sponged, and ready to put together. Just need to do some other stuff first......darn it!
Erica Cerwin has a video and template on her blog for these beauties. I'm going to attach all my flowers to a grapevine swag (if I can find one) and put them above my big window in my craft room. Its the first thing you will see when you enter. Can't wait to finish them all.

Just Because, Stampin' Up! Only Challenge

It's that time again. You can play along too: http://suochallenges.com/ The Challenge this week is Retiring Designer Series Paper.

So for my card, I am using retiring Designer Series Paper, Farmers Market, and two retiring stamp sets, Apple of My Eye and A Dozen Thoughts. These "split" cards are so fun and easy to make. I took a piece of the Farmers Market Designer Series Paper and cut it to, 4" x 4 1/2". I put a tic mark at 1" on the left side, and a tic mark on the right side at 2". Then lined up the tic marks on my Paper Trimmer, and cut at a diagonal. I adhered each piece to have the same border all around leaving a 3/4" space for the greeting.

I stamped the "Strawberry" (really its the pear upside down), in Watermelon Wonder and the leaves in Old Olive. Then fussy cut them all out, (its really easy to cut them out, you can do it!). I adhered one leaf with snail, and the other one and the strawberry with Dimensionals. Finished the strawberry off by adding the dots with our Chalk Marker, a Linen Thread Bow and a few Rhinestones.

Remember, all of these products, paper, and both stamp sets are on the retirement list, get them while you can! Can't wait to see what you all come up with.

Project Life Card Box with 5 Note Cards

This is the project my Stamp Club made this month. The box is from the Project Life Box. Here is what you need to cover the box:

Top Section: 4" x 12" & 4" x 4" Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper
Bottom Section: 2" x 12" & 2" x 4" Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper.

Simply adhere the 4" x 12" and the 4" x 4" together to make one long strip. Set that strip over top section of box, making sure the seams aren't on the box front, and crease the corners. Add Fast Fuse or Tear and Tape around all edges on the side you don't want to see, and glue to top of box. Repeat for the bottom section. Now you are ready to decorate your box.

For my box I used the the 1" Watermelon Wonder Dotted Lace Trim and tied it in a bow. You can see how I did the flower in this post: http://www.justspongeit.com/2016/04/sunburst-flower-tags.html I used hot glue to glue the flower to the box.

Then we needed some cards to inside our box. Our Note Cards fit perfectly inside. They come 20 cards in a package that are scored and have envelopes for $6. Everyone made 5 cards for their boxes. We used the extra stamp set that came with April's Paper Pumpkin for all of the cards. The cards are simple and I think you can figure out how I did each one. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me or leave me a comment and I will get back to you.

This makes a great Mother's Day or Birthday gift!

Here is my color palette for this project.

And here are all the products I used, except the Project Life Box. Hopefully you are using Project Life for your Memory Keeping and have one of these boxes begging to be used for this project.

You can go HERE to see everything on the Retirement List.

Number of Years

This was a fun card to make and another card we made in my Card Class for April. Not a lot of stamping. Thank you to Mary Brown for this card case.

I used the Number of Years stamp set. This set is going forward in the new catalog, yeah! And there is a alphabet stamp set to match. I can hardly wait to get that set, with matching Framelits. I also used the Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper, which I have not shown enough love to. I used the Triple Banner and Balloon Punches, and the Stars Framelits. Here are the dimensions:
4 1/4" x 8 1/2" Pacific Point cardstock
2" x 5" Yellow with the white Polka Dots
1" x 4" Big Polka Dots
1/4" x 5 1/2" Pool Party
3 1/2" x 3 1/2" Tangerine Tango for the star
Scrap for the Balloon
Scrap of the Daffodil Delight for the number
Are you wondering why I picked the #7? Well my grandson turned 7 in March, so I thought that was a good number to pick.

I finished off the balloon with 2 of the It's My Party Enamel Dots and some White Baker's Twine. The sentiment was stamped with Archival Black Ink.
