Penned and Painted, Stampin' Up! Only Challenge

This weeks challenge is "Primary Colors". This was definitely a challenge for me, but this is what I came up with. You can play too: http://suochallenges.com/
For the flowers I stamped first with Watermelon Wonder, then Real Red for the highlights and the (outline, on top of the card). Daffodil Delight was used to stamp the inside of each flower and I added a few scattered between the larger flowers. The leaves were stamped first with Garden green using the outline stamp, then stamped the solid stamp with Wild Wasabi. I love that you don't have to be exact with this set.
The sentiment is from the Jar of Love Stamp Set, stamped in Real Red onto Watermelon Wonder. I really love these two colors together. The 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon is also Real Red.

This is my color pallet. I really loved how my card turned out. I wasn't sure I could pull off this weeks challenge. So, what will you come up with? I can't wait to see all your entries.

Cutting Guide:

5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Watermelon Wonder, scored at 4 1/4"
3" x 5 1/2" Whisper White cardstock

Only 2 more days until the Holiday Catalog goes LIVE!

Jolly Friends with a Scallop Boarder

The moose on this stamp set is just too funny! Makes me smile, and this bundle is just so cute. The stamp set has a Santa, Elf, Fox and Moose heads along with several hat images. The matching punch, is for the hat and brim. I took 3/4" off the card front for the Scalloped Border. You can watch my video HERE on how to make the border with the Best Badges Punch. After attaching to my card front I used my Gel Pen to add a little dashes.

I stamped the moose image on my Crumb Cake Card Base in Early Espresso Ink, several times. Then stamped the moose on Whisper White and fussy cut him out. It only took a minute, you can do it! Stamped the hat in Cherry Cobbler Ink and punched out with the Jolly Hat Punch. The brim is punched out of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper. Hey, a moose needs some bling too, don't you think? I attached the little red bell with a rolled up Glue Dot. The moose is attached with dimensionals.
The sentiment is from the Christmas Pines stamp set. I finished off the card with some of Garden Green Baker's Twine. It comes in a 3 pack, Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and Gold. I wrapped it around twice. It covers up where the scallop border meets the Crumb Cake.

I can't believe I've made the last 3 cards without using the Big Shot. I think that might have been a record....lol! Two more days and you can order from the Holiday Catalog, Woohoo!

Cutting Guide:

5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Crumb Cake, scored at 4 1/4", take 3/4" off front of card (for scallop edge)
1" x 5 1/2" Cherry Cobbler
Scraps of Whisper White

Fresh Fruit with a Scallop Border

I have a fun card today using the Fresh Fruit Stamp set. I know what you are thinking, where is the fruit? Haha! No fruit, I used the flower images this time. The large flowers are stamped first with Flirty Flamingo and the outline is Watermelon Wonder, stamped off first. It was just too bold full strength. The smaller flowers are Peekaboo Peach stamped off for the solid image, then full strength for the outline.
The dotted paper is from the 2016-2018 In Color Paper Stack. Watch my video on how to make the Scallop Edge and the punched sentiment HERE! Its at the end of the video.

I finished off the card with some Flirty Flamingo Ruched Ribbon. Turned out pretty cute, don't you think? I love the two step stamps. Since its a Photopolymer stamp set, its easy to see and line up everything.

Cutting Guide:

5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Watermelon Wonder, scored at 4 1/4"
1" x 4 1/4" Watermelon Wonder cardstock
3 1/2" x 4 1/4" Whisper White cardstock
2" x 4 1/4" 2016-2018 In Color Paper Stack
scraps of Whisper White

Christmas Pines, A Peek into the Holiday Catalog

The Christmas Pines stamp set and Pretty Pines Thinlits are a great bundle, (you can save 10% when get them together). If this looks familiar, it is, kind of......Look at the Holiday Catalog, its the card at the bottom. I switched it up a bit. I find when I've lost my mojo, I CASE (copy and share everything). What's different? Well, the sentiment, Designer Series Paper, I didn't use Washi Tape, Cherry Cobbler layer, snowflakes and no  ribbon.
So I used the Warmth and Cheers Paper Stack, which is what Stampin' Up! used, I just chose a different pattern. I used another sentiment in the Christmas Pines stamp set, and only used two pine cones.

Oh, and I "winked" the pine cones and bow with Wink of Stella. That cute little bell is new. I used a rolled up a glue dot to attach to the bow, and glue dots to attach the boughs. Did you notice the snow flakes? That stamp is in this set too, and its not on the Stampin' Up! card. The Cherry Cobbler layer is on my card, I thought it needed a little something......
This is the front of the Holiday Catalog. You can see how different they are, but the same.

When you've lost your mojo, CASE something. You will find your creativity coming back! Sometimes I go to Pinterest and I use a couple things from different cards. It makes it my own that way.

Cutting Guide:

5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Garden Green cardstock, scored at 4 1/4"
4" x 4 1/4" Warmth and Cheer Designer Series Paper
3 1/8" x 3 5/8" Cherry Cobbler cardstock
3" x 3 1/2" Whisper White cardstock
Scraps of Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Garden Green and Old Olive cardstock

Paper Pumpkin, BOGO, August Kit

Buy your first kit, get the next month FREE! Join Paper Pumpkin HERE!
I will send you a wood mount stamp case for all your stamps, and a cute thank you card.

I have to be honest. When I saw this months kit, it didn't really thrill me. I love the stamp set, but the card bases, not so much.......UNTIL my kit (finally) came and I did the cards. I LOVE this kit, the little wood accents are such a nice touch.
In the kit you have:
5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Card
3 1/2" x 5" Note Card,
Gift Card Holder, (yes you can get a gift card inside, I tried it).

I did change this card up a bit. I Embossed the card front with the Petal Burst Embossing folder and put the rest of the card to the left. Those wood leaves each have a small hole so you can string them through the Early Espresso Baker's Twine that comes in the kit.

I did this one just like the instructions say to. I did stamp on my envelope though.

This gift card holder is like a 2 minute card. You only need to stamp the "For You" and Just wanted to say....on the note card. The holder already has Tear and Tape on it. Easy Peasy!

Pumpkin Using the Thoughtful Branches Bundle?

What? Yep, if you turn the Hydrangea (or Tree Top) over, it looks like a pumpkin. I Found this idea on Pintrest. I decided to add a couple more pumpkins using the Layering Ovals Framelits.

The "tree trunk" is the pumpkin stem.

This is what you need to make the big pumpkin.

I crumpled up the Peekaboo Peach Pumpkin a little bit to give it more dimension. I also sponged each pumpkin with Pumpkin Pie Ink.

You will need to cut your dimensionals into small pieces. I usually use the edges.

I used the smallest Layering Oval for the small pumpkin, and the next one for the larger pumpkin. Sponge each piece, glue 2 together, then add the 3rd one with dimensionals. I used the Tree Trunk for the stem and added a piece of Linen Thread to each pumpkin.

Cutting Guide:

5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Crumb Cake
Scraps of Pumpkin Pie, Peekaboo Peach and Old Olive

Supply List:

This bundle is still available, while supplies last for August only. I really love this bundle as you can tell from all the projects I've made. I thought this one was a little unique, as you probably wouldn't have made the flower into a pumpkin. I wish my mind thought like this, but all I saw was a Hydrangea or Tree Top......

Thoughtful Branches Thank You

This is another card my Club Gals made this month. We did it a little different this time.

The base of my card is Soft Sky. Then a layer of the Irresistibly Floral Specialty Designer Paper, that I brayered in Soft Sky. You can see this POST where I have a video showing you 3 ways to color this paper.

For the Hydrangea I used a Sweet Sugarplum flower, then stamped in Sweet Sugarplum onto Shimmer White cardstock, die cut and then crumpled it up and mounted off center from the solid flower just a bit with pieces of Dimensionals.
