Paisleys & Posies Birthday Card

I wasn't going to purchase the Paisleys and Posies stamp set or Designer Series Paper.......but then I kept seeing so many cute cards. So, I caved......

I love how this card turned out. Its another card we did in my All Occasions class this month. Stamp the Swish marks (not sure what to call those images) in Mint Macaron on the top half of the card. Add the Designer Paper and ribbon from the 3/8" Ribbon Trio Pack.
The sentiment comes from Sunshine Sayings and die cut using the Layering Ovals Framelit dies, matted with a piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock. I die cut the Flourish using our Gold Foil Paper and tucked it behind the sentiment before I added my Dimensionals to attach to the top of the card.

Easy Peasy, right?

Cutting Guide:
4 1/4" x 11" Mint Macaron cardstock, scored at, 5 1/2"
2 5/8" x 4 1/4" Designer Series Paper
Scraps of Very Vanilla and Rich Razzleberry for sentiment

Wishing You a Joyful Christmas

Here is another card I cased from my friend Melanie. You could do multiple of these cards since they are so easy, but still cute.
And, you can't go wrong with the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper. I added just a small folded up piece of the Stitched Real Red Ribbon to the right side. The Wonderful Year stamp set is perfect for the focal point of your card. I stamped the sentiment in Real Red Ink and mounted it to a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock.

I added the Metallic Shapes on each side of the little flourish.

Cutting Guide:

5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Real Red Cardstock, scored at, 4 1/4"
3 3/4" x 5" Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper
3 1/4" x 4" Crumb Cake Cardstock
3" x 3 3/4" Whisper White Cardstock

Jar of Haunts Note Cards

Funny story about these note cards. I made almost the same cards (and didn't realize it until I was all done with them) for my Stamp Club Gals as I did last month......oh well!

I used the Crumb Cake Note Cards, they come scored and with envelopes. I added a strip of the Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper to the top and die cut the Jars from the Everyday Jars Framelits and stamped the candy corn from the Jar of Haunts inside the jar and spilling out. The candy corn was easy to color with my markers. I had to Google which order the colors were supposed to be......
For the white part I used our Clear Wink of Stella. You know how everything is better with a "Wink" right?
The sentiment comes from the Thankful Thoughts stamp set. Since I was coloring the candy corn I used Black Archival Ink.

Cutting Guide:
3/8" x 5" Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper
2" x 2 1/2" Thick Whisper White cardstock for the Jar

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

I cased this card from my friend Melanie for my Holiday Card Class.
I LOVE the Holly Embossing Folder, it totally dresses up my card. Add the Presents and Pinecones Designer Series Paper to one side. Stamp the sentiment from the Wonderful Year stamp set and die cut with the Lots of Labels Framelits and you have a beautiful card.
I added the Emerald Envy Ribbon from the 3/8" Silky Taffeta Ribbon Combo Pack and a few of the stars from the In Color Enamel Shapes. Done! You could make a lot of these cards in a short amount of time.

Cutting Guide:
5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Crumb Cake, scored at 4 1/4", embossed with the Holly Embossing Folder
3" x 4" Pinecones and Presents Designer Series Paper
2 3/4" x 4 1/4" Crumb Cake (for the sentiment)

Supply List:

Irresistibly Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper Gusseted Cello Bags

You might have seen this Christmas Bag using the Cello Bags. I wanted to make a couple of really nice thank you's, so this is what I came up with.

I first took a piece of Water Color Paper and sponged, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry over the entire piece. Then I stamped the different leaves with VersaMark Ink and embossed with Copper Embossing Powder. I took my Aqua Painter and blended all the colors on each leaf and then of course, I had to "wink" it with the Clear Wink of Stella, then die cut with the Leaflet Framelits Dies.
Since I wanted to use those colors, I didn't have any Designer Paper that matched, so I used the Irresistibly Floral Specialty Paper and my Sponge Brayer. I did one side Pumpkin Pie, the other side Old Olive for one, the other one I did Rich Razzleberry and Pumpkin Pie. Isn't it pretty? You probably missed this paper on page 172. It comes white and then you color it, sponge it, spritz it. 12 sheets, 2 of each design, $13.00 (or get some FREE from me when you place a $50 order between now and October 30th, (details are below).

Does this ever happen to you? You finish your project and realize you forgot the Metallic Thread or Baker's Twine under the focal point. This is what happened to me. I wound the thread around my fingers a few times, twisted it and laid it on a Glue Dot. Some of the threads got away from me so I added another Glue Dot, stuck more thread on and then using the Paper Piercing tool I lifted it off the roll of Glue Dots and stuck it under one of the leaves. Problem solved!
You can use your Bone Folder to Curl the leaves before attaching them with Dimensionals. The Metallic Enamel Shapes don't come in Copper, so I used my Copper Metallic Sharpie to color them.

The Mini Pinecones and Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper add a nice touch along with the Copper Metallic Thread.

This is the back of my treat bags. Did you know that you can curl Burlap Ribbon (I took and pulled the threads out and used the strands around my treat bag), or Baker's Twine? That's what I did here. I wrapped the thread around my bag and tied in a knot, then I curled each end with my Bone Folder. Pretty cool, isn't it.

I wanted to be able to get to the treats without messing up the bag, so this is what I did. On my focal point I only put dimensionals on the right side of the tag, so the strands of the Burlap ribbon just slide under and then tie in the back. Another problem solved! LOL!

Cutting Guide:

2 7/8" x 11 1/2" Irresistibly Floral Designer Paper, Scored, 2" & 6 3/4"
2 1/4" x 3 3/4" Irresistibly Floral dsp (for tag, die cut from the Lots of Labels Framelits)
2 1/2" x 4 1/4" Matching cardstock, I used Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry

Supply List:

I forgot to add the Lots of Labels Framelits to my Supply List, #128281, $27.

Totally Trees Thank You Note Cards

I've been in a water coloring kind of mood lately. Does that ever happen to you?

This set is perfect for just a little water coloring. This was one of the cards we did in my All Occasions Card Class this month. I decided to use the Note Cards. They come, cut 3 1/2" x5", scored and have envelopes. They are very economical as well, 20 cards and envelopes to a package for $6.
Since we were water coloring I used our Watercolor paper. It really makes a huge difference.
Stamped the ground twice with Old Olive and used my Aqua Painter to blend. Next I stamped the Pumpkin Pie solid image and used my Aqua Painter again to blend, let that dry, then stamped the tree trunk with Early Espresso. If you don't let it dry, the brown will be muddy. I also stamped the leaves with Pumpkin Pie. The bold sentiment comes from the Fresh Fruit Stamp set. It was stamped with Early Espresso onto Whisper White. Added the double bow using Linen Thread and a glue dot.
Make sure you use Fast Fuse or Tombow Liquid Glue to adhere the Watercolor Paper. Because the paper has been wet, it sometimes wants to curl.

You can't add too many embellishments or the card won't fit into the snug envelope. I used my Gold Wink of Stella, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive markers to add some splatters.

Cutting Guide:
3" x 4 1/2" Watercolor Paper
1/2" x 2 5/8" Whisper White for sentiment

Halloween Z Fold Thank You Cards

How fun are these cards? I sent them out to some of my customers as thank you's for their orders. Its called a "Z" Fold. I am trying to use up all of the Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper BEFORE Halloween. Only have a few sheets left.

There is two sheets of these scary houses, so I though why not cut them with the Layering Circles and add them to the front of my card. I backed them with a piece of our new Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper. I have a tip for you later in this post.
Not a whole lot of stamping, just the bats from the Cookie Cutter Halloween set and the sentiment is from Suite Seasons.

This is what your card should look like.

Ok, here is your tip: Why waste all that beautiful Glimmer Paper that will be underneath the top piece. So what I did was die cut some leaves (I've already used those leaves for other cards). One other quick tip; Die cut the leaves to one side so the hole doesn't show when you add it to your card. The circle sticks out beyond the fold. (look at the above photo). Make sense?

Sutting Guide:
4 1/4" x 11" Pumpkin Pie cardstock, cut at, 2 3/4" and 4 1/4"
4" x 5 1/4" Whisper White cardstock
2 1/2" x 4" Designer Series Paper
4" x 4" Designer Series Paper, (houses)
4" x 4" Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper

Supply List:

6- 6" x 6" Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper
