Sunflower Thank You!

I love Sunflowers, so when this one hit the new catalog, I was so happy. This was a very easy & quick card.
Wondering how I got 2 different colors of ink for the Sunflower? Markers! I inked up the flower in So Saffron with my classic ink pad, and then took my Early Espresso marker and colored in the center.
Here is a tip for you: When using a large stamp its easier to take the ink pad to the stamp, instead of the stamp to the ink pad. Also when you lay your card stock on top of the inked stamp, take a piece of copy paper, and lay it on top and then rub all over. This way, you don't get ink all over your hands, which then gets on your card.
Another tip for the Embossed Frame: When you put it through the Big Shot, only go as far as the frame, then back it out, no marks around your frame. Thanks Sue Topia for that great tip!
Our Large Oval punch works great for inside of this frame. I don't know about you, but if I were to stamp inside the frame, I would somehow mess it up. Much easier to stamp, punch it out and adhere to the inside of the frame.

  1. Love your card!! Thanks for the great tips. I love how punching the sentiment allows you to ink the edges. I think I just added the sunflower stamp to my wish list!
