Name Tag Project

Earlier this month Patty Bennett had her downline meeting. She had a contest to see who could make the cutest name tag. Here is what I came up with. Did you know that you can use the Designer Rosette die to cut fabric? I cut my Twitterpated fabric in 12" strips and varied the width, ironed it and then starched it. Ran it through my Big Shot and then ironed the pleats. Let it cool and then I glued the ends together with hot glue & glued a circle of card stock (any size, as long as its smaller than your Rosette) to the back. This also gives you something to glue your Rosette to. Then I just added different flower punches and brads to the center. I used my Simply Adorned chain that I already had with the Baubles and ribbon on it. Then did my name tag in MDS (My Digital Studio), cut it out, and put it inside a name badge, added my flowers and the Pearls below my name. Although I didn't win, I think it came out pretty cute!
Here is a close up of the Rosettes. You can see I ran the Blossom punch through the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and then sponged all the flowers and added some glimmer mist. Add alcohol to a small spray bottle and then add some shimmer paint, shake and spray. The more shimmer paint you add, the more sparkle......
This was really a fun little project. We had lots of very cute name tags at the meeting.
