This color (Pool Party) is way out of the box for me as a Christmas Card. I filled my Mister bottle up about 3/4 of the way with Rubbing Alcohol, a few drops of Pool Party Re-inker and a little of Champagne Shimmer Mist paint. Shook it up and laid my snowflakes on another sheet of Vanilla cardstock. Now this is the part that was making me crazy....make sure you spray into the garbage can to make sure your mist is coming out in a mist and not a straight line, then mist over the snowflakes. You should have beautiful snowflakes on your cardstock.
I mounted my snowflakes onto a Pool Party card front, added some gorgeous Crumb Cake Tulle Ribbon and tied it in a bow. Even if you can't tie a bow, you will be able to with this stuff. I stamped the ornament in Pool Party Ink and then with a sponge dauber added some of the Champagne paint over the top, cut out with the Framelits that match this stamp set and mounted it on a dimensional, added the Bakers Twine and a Merry Christmas.
I have several items that you will be able to purchase on the 1st, (come on now, its only a couple more days).

This is so pretty, Cindee. Since moving to Florida, I've become a lot more receptive to Christmas cards in the lighter blues.
ReplyDeleteLove the card and cute kitty pics. We have 8 cats and they all do the same...sit and wait for us to turn on the faucet, often meowing to let us know they're waiting for us! It's funny to see them lined up waiting in the bathtub and on the counter. The challenge is to remember to go back in and turn it off!
ReplyDeleteYour kitties are so cute. Thanks for sharing the technique!
