Crystal Effects Resist!

Back in July, I saw this technique on Ariane McCosh's blog and thought I want to try it. Well, today, (since I'm not getting much else done) I thought I would try it.

My photos just don't do this card justice.....Ariane calls this technique, Crystal Effects Resist. You can see her tutorial HERE. Its very subtle. Basically you make up a mixture of 1/3 Distilled Water and 2/3 Crystal Effects. Our new Misters work perfect for this technique. Shake it up, then using a make-up sponge spray the sponge, and dab it onto your stamp. Stamp your image, and make sure to clean your stamp when you are done. Don't let it dry on your stamp. Then sponge  lighter color over the images you just stamped, and then with a darker color. Then I spritzed with Alcohol and Champagne Shimmer paint over whole card. Your stamped images POP!

Here is a side view. I did the same technique on the ornament.

Here is a close up of the ornament. I stamped 5 ornaments, die cut with the Holiday Ornaments Framelits, folded them in half and glued together with Tombow Multi glue. This is probably not a card I would send in the mail, but hand deliver.

Here is what I used to make my card:

Raspberry Ripple card base, #126942
Ornament Keepsakes Bundle, stamp & die, #129950 Clear Mount
Snowflake Soiree stamp set, #127925, Clear Mount

Early Espresso Ink, #126974
Primrose Petals Ink, #126858
