Got Pomogranates!

My husband and son and I just picked over 197 pomegranates from the tree in our backyard.  Anyone have any good recipes that use pomegranates?
Its hard to believe that this tree started off as a piece from another plant that was given to me over 10 years ago. We kept it as a bush until this year. Then my husband started cutting the lower branches off to make it a tree. They had to pull up the branches 3 times with rope to hold all the heavy pomegranates up.

So beautiful!

Here is what 197 pomegranates look like. We were trying to guess how many pomegranates we had on the tree. I guessed over 3 dozen. Just a little short of the 197........and we still have about 10 that are small on the tree.

This beauty is 1lb. 12 oz. bigger than my son's IPhone.

and way bigger than my fist!

  1. Thanks for showing this east coast gal what a pomegranate tree looks like. Now would you please tell me what you are going to do with 197 of the fruits? I have only used a few in all of my years.
