Angel Ornaments

My friend Gloria, gave us a link to make these gorgeous Angle ornaments. You can view the video by Kay HERE.
You don't need a lot of products to make these cute Angels. The only non-Stampin' Up! things I needed was the bead for the head and the wire. Kay suggested to use an ornament hanger. I went to two stores and couldn't find silver long ones. So I just used floral wire.

This was my first one. I used the First Edition dsp.

This one is Fan Fair. Edited to add:
I forgot the bow that goes under the bead.

As well as this one too! They are fun and fast to make.  Basicly you cut one of each, Scallop Circle, Doily & 2 3/8" Scallop Punch. Cut them all in half. Glue each half of the doily onto the Scallop Circle die. Form a cone for the body, & arms. Hot glue works the best. Glue the wings on the back where the seam is. Then add your arms. Poke a hole at the top of the body and insert wire. I took a piece of wire and made a circle at the bottom &  covered it in scotch tape (so the glue has more surface to adhere) and insert in the body. Add a LOT of hot glue and let cool. Add a drop of hot glue and string the bead on. Add another drop of glue onto the bead and add the button. Now you are done.

Here is what I used for my Angels:

Scallop Circle Bigz die, # 113468
Paper Doily Sizzlits, #125592
2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch
First Edition dsp, #121878
Fan Fair dsp, #126918
Naturals Designer Buttons, #119743 (Halo)
1/2" bead (for the head)
Wire for the hanger
Hot glue 2-way glue pen, #100425

I had everything except the bead. So these angels didn't really cost much to make. The beads were also on sale.

I could see these at your place setting for Christmas dinner, on packages for Christmas and so much more. Thanks Gloria for posting Kay's video link on Facebook!

  4. Adorable.
How cute these would be sitting at the holiday table and used as place cards; having the names put on the front, guests can then take them home to hang on their tree.
