One Spec-tacular Card!

I won the Single Stamp, Spec-tacular, at Patty's meeting earlier this month. I was stumped on how to
use.

So I challenged myself to make a card. I really wanted a saying that said "Can You See Me Now?" or "I Can See You". And then I saw the "There's Only One You" in the SAB set called, Vintage Verses. Ok, now the wheels are turning........

This is what I came up with. What do you think? You are probably wondering where I got that punch or die for the saying.......I used one of the Apothecary Accents Framelits, but I altered it a bit. I took a piece of Whisper White card stock cut at, 4 1/4" x 2" and gently folded it in half. I laid the folded edge just above where the bump is, used a sticky note to hold it down and ran it through my big shot.
You can see how I lined up the folded edge. Sorry my acrylic plate is so well loved......

It makes it just a little bit longer so I can stamp my saying in the center. You can do this technique with lots of different dies.

Here is what I used to make my card:

Raspberry ripple base, 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", #126842
Whisper White card stock, 3 1/2" x 3 1/8" & 4 1/4" x 2", #100730
Spec-taculor Single Stamp, #132673
Vintage Verses, #129636 (FREE with a $50 order)
Going Grey Ink, # 126981

Raspberry Ripple 3/8" Stitched Ribbon, #126845
Rhinestones, #119246
Silver Basic Designer Buttons, #129325
White Baker's Twine, #124262
3/4" Circle Punch, #119873
Corner Rounder Punch, #119871

  5. Cindee, I love what you've done with this stamp. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it, because my son is an optometrist. But what to do with it after I got it??? Well, you've solved that question, and beautifully, too. A big thank you for the tutorial on the framelit also.
