Pop-Up Posie Dresses

After seeing Kimberly Van Diepen's blog post with these dresses, I knew I wanted to make some for myself.
All of the dress skirts are using the pieces from the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit in the Spring Catalog.

This one uses the paper cups in the kit. Just fold each cup in half and crumple it up. Then un-crumple and hot glue to your dress form. I used the larger ones at the bottom, smaller ones at the top. Finished it off with a Pool Party Seam Binding bow and some pearls. I had a piece of the Early Espresso Tulle left over from the Holiday catalog and added that to the Antique Spool with hot glue.

This one uses the Calypso Coral Flowers in the kit. Just fold in half and hot glue to your dress form. Added a crochet bow and more pearls.

This one uses the Pool Party Flowers from the kit. Made it the same way as the Calypso Coral Flowers. Added a Whisper White Organza Ribbon bow and more Pearls. Decided to add some Pearls to the wooden spool as well. I had one little piece of the Early Espresso Tulle left and I tied it around the spool and added the Large Pearls.

Pop-Up Posies Kit, # 131395, $12.95
All Dressed Up Bundle, (stamp set & Framelits) #131095
So, wouldn't you want to have these on your desk to see everyday? They just make me "happy". Thanks Kimberly for this FABULOUS idea!

I purchased some "antique" spools at a local Antique Shop. Used hot glue to glue the skewers into the spools. Also added a dress form to the back so they look nice from the back as well as the front.
