Family Traditions, Do You Have Them?

In the next couple of days I'm going to share a couple of Christmas Traditions we have. No stamping, but still important.
Every year (I've only missed one year, when my Mom was sick), I get together with my two BESTEST FRIENDS (Hi Cindy & Lynne) the week-end before Thanksgiving (also before the craziness begins) and we make gingerbread houses. We've been doing this for over 30 years now. We started out making the gingerbread houses ourselves, you know from scratch.  Lets just say that now we buy the houses already made and decorate them. What I love is now my grandkids are now making their own houses. Take a look:
We ALL bring candy to share. (That isn't even all of it). Tip: Put your candy in cupcake tins.

Anthony loves to line anything up.

Here is a better photo of his house.

Here is Gianna with her house.

See how clean it is......not for long.

Here is Jocelyn with her house.

Still clean......

This is the beginning of Lynne's house.

Cindy is on the left, Lynne on the right, working intently on their houses.

Cindy puts candy on every inch of her house.

Lynne is doing a red and white theme.
Thanks for letting me share this tradition with you. I will share another one tomorrow.

  1. This is a great tradition and so wonderful that the kids are doing it now and will continue with their families. Makes for sweet memories.
