Petal Potpourri Coloring Technique

I've been in a In Color mood lately, especially with the colors that will be retiring soon. I've said this before, you better order all the In Color items you want now, because when the retirement list comes out on Tuesday, April 21st, they are the first things to go......just sayin'........

Ok, on to my card now. I used the Petal Potpourri bundle, which means you can save 15%. The bundle comes with the  Petal Potpourri stamp set and the matching Flower Medallion Punch. I should also mention that this is another Pinterest find. I would have never thought to do this.......

Stamp the flower that just has the outlines on it on your Whisper White cardstock, then ink up the solid stamp and stamp right over the line image stamp. So clever. And it doesn't have to be perfect. My kind of technique. You could use a Stamp-a-ma-jig, if you want it to line up perfectly.

Its easy peasy.

The Just Sayin' sentiment is from Crazy about You stamp set. I stamped with White Craft Ink. Then die cut the hello from the Hello You Thinlits. I used Tombow adhesive (liquid) to adhere the hello. Just tiny drops around all the letters. REMEMBER....less is more!

I hope the gals in my Quick and Cute Card Class on the 18th like this card. On the inside of the card (not shown) I stamped Happy Birthday to You with the Because You Care Stamp Set (hostess). Thank you to Nikki Spencer for this great idea. I found her card on Pinterest (of course).
