Jar of Love Tags, Grandkids & Fur Babies (what a combo) LOL!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had our kids over and a nice dinner. I bought a new deck of cards and my daughter and I taught my grandkids how to play Kings in the Corner. Have you ever played that game? I haven't for a long time.

The girls are playing with "slime" that we just made. Yuck! Not sure why they wanted to make it........ Borax is the "magic" ingredient. We googled "slime" and found the recipe.
And here are my handsome little (ok, I guess they aren't so little any more) devils. Got to love those dimples!

And here is my tag. I saw something similar on Pinterest (no surprise there...) and changed it up to make it my own.
The Candy Cane Lane Designer Series paper makes these tags so fun. You can see I  just fussy cut the sheet with the Gingerbread men, candy canes, and candy. The peppermint candy I used my 1/2" circle punch. Use the Clear Wink of Stella to make the candy glisten. Also cut the candy cane hearts for the base of my decoration.
Using the Foam Adhesive Strips makes these a breeze to put together. I added 3 items that I cut out, some of the White Mica Flakes (this comes in a trio Pack, with gold and green along with the white), and sequins from the Fancy Frost Sequin pack, just add a few into the center of the jar BACK, then carefully take off the release tape on the adhesive strips and adhere to the jar front. (You should have already attached the Window Sheet to your jar FRONT.) I stamped and die cut the handles, added one to the front and another one for the back. Once you've done that part, you get to decorate your jar.

I've used a few different items to decorate. Just start layering, I'm going to make a few different that these. What items would you use to decorate your tags?

Pretty Pines Thinlits, used Red Glimmer Paper to cut a bunch of them out
Holly Berry Happiness stamp set
Holly Berry Builder Punch (get both and save 10%)
Candy Cane Lane Baker's Twine (comes in a two pack, Real Red and Red Metallic Thread on white)

Aren't they pretty? I was quite pleased with myself when I finished a few of them. I put a couple of them on the little gifts I made for my Gingerbread Friends. I will show you those on Monday.

Supply List:
I forgot to add the Everyday Jars Framelits, #141490

And don't forget about this fabulous sale!

View the entire list HERE!

Hostess Code for November: QBTH3RBQ , only use the Hostess Code if your order is over $150.

The Stitched Shapes Framelits have been turned off. Stampin' Up! is expecting another shipment around the 28th. When that shipment comes in the ordering number will be turned back on and you can order them once again.

And here are a couple more pics of my fur babies. Jesse is doing really well playing with Joey. I think we might be making progress on the potty training today. Keeping my fingers crossed.......

Hard to see because of the light, but Joey climbed on top of Jesse for a warm spot to sleep. Jesse thinks he's a lap dog (even before we got Joey). Of course they both wanted to be on my lap.

Have a fabulous week-end!

  1. These tags are inspired, and inspiring! I will be using this idea for sure!

Also your little dachshund mix is just adorable! You did know they are notorious for being difficult to potty train right?
