Hey Chick

When I first saw this set, I wasn't sure I would like it. But, then I started seeing all the cute cards made with Hey Chick (#143331) and now I'm glad I ordered it as part of my pre-order. This was another card Patty and I did together. I saw this on Billie Moan's blog and new it would be a great cased card for us to do. We changed it up a little from Billie's card.

We used our new Watercolor Pencils (they are so smooth and easy to use) to color all the squares on Watercolor Paper and an Aqua painter. Reminder to use the Black Archival Ink when water coloring so the ink won't smear. And yes, we used the Stitched Shapes Framelits (again, and I promise they will be back in our warehouse soon) and the Layering Squares Framelits.

You might notice the hexagon pattern.......We have a new Dynamic Embossing Folder in the Occasions Catalog, page 47. I didn't emboss this time. I simply took my stamp pad and inked up one side (carefully), and laid my cardstock on the inked side and rubbed with my fingers. Its such a cool way to use any Embossing Folder. I can see a video in my future using this technique. Stay tuned.......

Finished off the card with two strands of Linen Thread tied in a bow. The sentiment is die cut with one of the labels on Bunch of Banners Framelits.
