Avant-Garden Thank You Card

I can't believe that Sale-a-bration is almost over (Friday, March 31st,) and this is the first time I've used this flower from Avant-Garden. But it works perfect for the Stampin' Up! Only Challenge, A Favorite April Theme. I think flowers speak April, don't you? You can play along too: http://suochallenges.com/

So I started casing Kimberly Van Diepen's card, but really my card looks nothing like hers. The only thing that is the same is the stamped flowers and the wash behind the flowers, everything else is different. I love when you can make it your own. I really did love her version which is why I saved it on Pinterest.
I started off with a wash of Crumb Cake using my Aqua Painter onto Shimmery White Cardstock. Then I stamped the flower in Versamark Ink and embossed with Black Embossing Powder, (I embossed the sentiment too). Colored in the flowers with the Pool Party Marker and the leaves with Pear Pizzazz. I spattered Clear Wink of Stella and Pool Party by flicking the ink using the inside of the lid.

The sentiment is die cut with the smallest circle of the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I added some Black Thread behind the sentiment and popped up with Dimensionals. Before adhering the sentiment, I wrapped the Pool Party Stitched Ribbon around the top layer and added that small piece of Doily on the right. Then adhered the Pool Party layer. That layer I used more Dimensionals to pop it up on the Thick Whisper White Card Base.

Can you see all the sparkle?

Cutting Guide:

3 3/4" x 5" Shimmery White Cardstock

  1. This is a beautiful card! The wash behind the flower really pops it's! Sadly the only sparkle that is easy to see is from the ribbon, but I like it very much and just may CASE it's!
