Dragonfly Dreams Congratulations Card

My friend Patty Bennett just promoted to Platinum. This is a BIG deal people. Patty is also the leader of our Luv2stamp group. So proud of her and all her hard work. I was going to give this to Patty last week and she was sick so I sent it to her. She was really surprised.

The first layer of my card is embossed with the Falling Petals Embossing Folder. Do you see the Doilies on the right side? Each piece has 3 "humps" and you only need 1 Doily. Make sure your Doilies don't go beyond the card base (4 1/4") or you won't be able to put it in an envelope.

Then I layered a piece of the 5/8" Organza Ribbon and Silver Sequins. For the ribbon I took a 6" piece and put a strip of Tear and Tape down the center, then pleated, so back and forth, added another piece of Tear and Tape down the center of that and put my row of Silver Sequins.
I die cut the Dragonflies from Vellum and Silver Foil Paper and layered them together with Glue Dots. Don't worry about the Glue Dots showing because you will add some Pearls to cover them up. To add the Silver Thread, I added a couple of Glue Dots added the thread and then cut up some Dimensionals to put on the back and laid that down over part of the ribbon like in the photo.

The congratulations is from the stamp set, So In Love and stamped in Black Archival Ink. I used the Classic Label punch to punch it out. Added Dimensionals to the back and a couple of Pearls on each side.

I also made her a Doily Tag like HERE! and used the Dragonflies instead of the Life Me Up Balloons. I can't believe I forgot to take a photo of it......but I layered like in the card.


Cutting Guide:

4 1/4" x 11" Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5 1/2"
4" x 5 1/4" thick Whisper White cardstock
3" x 4" Vellum and Silver Foil Paper die cut with the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits
