Christmas Lane Continued!

Here are my next two projects. First one is using the Petite Pocket die, love this die, so many things you can do with it. Plus a gift card even fits inside. I haven't used it for that.......yet! I could see putting in some candy canes instead of the pencils. Still too early for candy canes. So I used the dsp that was included in the Scrappin' Kit and a couple of the stickers. I tied the pencils with some of our new Quilted Ribbon, in Cherry Cobbler and then added a little dangle. I took some of our Bakers Thread and put it between two stickers that were the same so it could dangle from the ribbon. Quite proud of myself for that idea. Not that it hasn't been done before.....Then I made another medallion, added a sticker to the center and layered that on Doily Triple Layer Punch and used the It's a Wrap Holidays in the center. Super cute and easy!
Next up, is the Milk Carton Die box, used differently. We saw this at convention, it was one of the first thing I tried when I got home. I think I like it better than the single Milk Carton. You die cut 2 Milk Cartons, and cut off one panel on each of them, the one WITHOUT the tab, fold on all of the score lines and put the 2 cartons together with Sticky Strip. I added a piece of dsp from the kit all the way around and punched holes in the top and tied it with the Bakers Twine and made another "dangle" using the Doily Triple Layer Punch, with a Pearl in the center. Then I made 2 medallions, one a bit smaller than the other. I used the Scallop Trim Border punch along one edge before I put it together and added another large Pearl to the center.
The only issue I had after I got this put together is, I didn't like the bottom. So I traced the box bottom onto some Cherry Cobbler card stock and glued it to the bottom. It just looks more finished. I always look to see how something is finished. I'm just weird like that!
You can see the other one I did here.

  1. Super cute projects! Hard to think about Christmas when it is 100 degrees outside but it will be here before we know it.
