Christmas Lane Scrappin' Kit

Don't forget the 31st is the last day of the SummerMini Catalog. And also, last day for the "Buy 3 get one FREE" on designer papers.
The Holiday Mini Catalog starts on Thursday, September 1st, Yipee! I've been given you sneak peaks all month. But wait till you see what I've made with the Christmas Lane Scrappin' Kit. My upline, Patty Bennett, asked all of us in her group who would like a free Scrappin' Kit of our choice, and in return, we would share 8 projects made with that kit. Well, I was one of the ones chosen, so I picked the Christmas kit.
You should have already received your Holiday Mini catalog, (if you've purchased at least $50 from me in the last 6 months)if not and you don't have a demo, contact me (cindee@pacbell.net) and I will be happy to send one to you, or you can pick it up, (I live in Antioch, CA).
So, lets start with the Christmas Stocking. By now you've probably heard that we have a Holiday Stocking die & Stocking Accents in the new mini. Look what I've done. I first glued the heal and toe to the stocking. Then I sewed with a zig zag stitch all around the stocking. Then added the top of the stocking. So now you can put something inside the stocking. Now its time to decorate. Taking more of my designer paper that comes in the kit, I made a medallion. These are super easy with our new Simply Scored Tool (also in the mini). Check out Heather's blog. She has a great video on how to make these babies. On top of my medallion I added a couple of stickers (also in the kit) along with 3 of our mini Jingle Bells. I attached those with Tombow Glue. I also added some flowers from the BoHo Blossoms punch with a little bling, Rhinestones. Finished it off with some ribbon for the holder. Now you know, you don't have to sew around the stocking, you can always glue it together. I just happened to have my machine out, so I used it. Pretty cute, if I don't say so myself........
Next up are these cute little candy holders using the Two Tags Die and the dsp that comes in the kit. The green one already has a score line, so I just die cut two of them and glued the bottom together. Added some of our new Quilted Cherry Cobbler ribbon to keep it together and decorated with more stickers.
The second tag, I also cut two from dsp and scored 1" from the bottom of each tag and glued them together. Then I used It's a Wrap Holidays (in the mini) for the front of this holder, and matted it on some scrap Lucky Limeade. Then I stamped the same image on copy paper and put those over my Hershey Nuggets. You can put 3 nuggets in the large tag, and one in the skinny one.
So tomorrow I will show you a couple more of my projects from this scappin' kit.

  1. sweet! I just ordered this kit too. I'm not sure I like it packaged this way. Very plain and no ideas on the packaging! Plus with the stickers inside it is hard to tell that it is a scrappin kit!

  2. Great choice, Cindee...especially since you are already a master of the stocking decorating! Thanks for the inspiration for using this kit in such great ways!
