When I saw Mr. Elf Legs on Sandi MacIver's blog I knew I had to make a few. Every year I look for that one little gift that is "over the top" cute. For me, its Mr. Elf Legs........You can get all the directions on her blog. The apron and shoes are the Top Note. What would we do with out that die? Seriously........I pretty much made mine like Sandi. I added the bells on his shoes and didn't put all the buttons on the bottom of the apron. I have made too many, and didn't have enough buttons the right color.
TIP: To add the bells, use a needle threader to get the Bakers Twine through the bell and then using a needle you can use the "stitching" line to poke through the other side and tie in a bow. I also sprayed Mr. Elf Legs with Shimmer mist. That way he is really sparkly.
I found the Christmas Candy Korn at our local WinCo Foods Grocery Store. I'm in Northern California and I don't know if they have stores in other states. But you could use gum balls, jelly beans, red hots.
TIP: Take a piece of card stock, 8 1/2" x 1", score in half, long wise. Put this inside your skinny bag to load your candy. Makes adding candy so much easier.
this is soooo cute!!!
