When I saw these purses on Sandi Dailey's blog with a tutorial, I knew I had to make at least one. Sandi is also the demo that I got the Paper Flower idea from. I made my purse box an inch wider (where you can fit 4, 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" note cards and envelopes. I wanted my note cards just a bit bigger with an odd size note card, because we used the new Diagonal Score Board to make our envelopes to match our purse. I will post those tomorrow.

Isn't this flower fabulous? I found that on Jill Olsen's blog. She has a video. These flowers are so much fun to make. The first purse is in Poppy Parade, this one is Lucky Limeade.

Here is a mini tutorial on how to make the flowers.

You will need 7 flowers punched from the Blossom punch. Sponge them all front and back. You will use 1 for the base and the others you will do like this:

Put the flower in your hand, spritz with water, then take your bone folder, (pointy side) and start twisting and cupping your hand. The flower will start to fold up a bit.

Like this. Then add one of our tiny little clothes pins to hold it together and let dry.

Once dry, you will take off the clothes pins and arrange on your other flower in a circle. I used hot glue. I put a glob in the center and then added each flower. (I forgot to take a photo). For the center of the flower, I used a 1/2" x 4" piece of Lucky Limeade card stock and cut up about three quarters of the way on the long side and rolled up. This will fit in the center of all your petals and cover up any holes you might have. The leaves are from the Blossom Builder punch. I punched 3 out of Lucky Limeade, sponged them and curled the edges, hot glued them to the flower and then hot glued the flower to the purse. Clear as mud?
