Last night my grandkids came over for dinner. We did some cherry picking in our back yard. The kids loved it! Of course Uncle Michael let them get on the ladder.........

Reminds me of my childhood. We had 2 cherry trees in our back yard and picked and picked and picked. Used to take out the pits with a hairpin. You're probably too young to remember hairpins but they worked so well! Great pictures.
ReplyDeleteLol @ Brenda, I remember the U shaped hair pins, what a fun use for them. Is there anything better than picking fruit from Granny's yard? Some of the best childhood memories ever. My Nanny had wild purple grapes and sassafras trees. We would make grape jelly and drink sassafras tea. My other Granny had a pear tree, she would peel them for my cousins and me until she thought we'd had enough, then we'd go pick them and eat them with the peels on. good Times.
