So Fun Stamping with a Friend!

Yesterday Patty Bennett came out to my house and we had lunch out (Mexican, yum, yum) then stamped all afternoon. This is one of the cards we made together. Patty wanted to make a card using the painters tape technique.  You can view the other card I made using this technique HERE!
Let me start by saying, Patty DOESN'T do glitter and I had it in my mind that I wanted this leaf to be Early Espresso Glitter (I've had this glitter a while, its no longer available). So my card is on the left and Patty's card is on the right. Funny how we both started off with the same 3 colors, Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango & Cajun Craze Ink and the same card base, Very Vanilla. Patty sponged with  Early Expresso around her card and around the leaf.

Patty added our new Burlap Ribbon, #132140, $7.95. The leaf is the new Magnificent Maple, #131868, $9.95. She sponged in all of the colors above on the leaf and sponged the edge with Early Espresso. Stunning IRL! The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, #115370. We used the Word Window Punch, #119857, $15.95.

For my card I stamped the leaf right over the background I had created with Versamark Ink, then used Heat and Stick Powder, then the Early Espresso glitter and heated again to set the glitter. I added the Linen Thread with one of our new Very Vintage Designer Buttons, #129327 to finish it off. I used the same sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes and used the Word Window punch.
Tomorrow I will show you the second card we made. Its so much funner (is that a word??) to stamp with a friend than by yourself, don't you think?
