Ornamental Pine

This is a stamp set I didn't buy right away......what was I thinking? I saw so many beautiful cards I caved.... I totally cased this card from Connie Babbert. I did add the Linen Thread.

Then we decided it needed a little something, Dazzling Diamonds did the trick. At first I just added small dots, then I started dragging it along the pine needles.

To get the shading I started with Soft Sky Ink on a sponge, then Bermuda Bay and finally Pacific Point. The pine cone is stamped with Early Espresso onto Crumb Cake and cut out.

Cutting out the pine cone is a bit of a pain since its so small. One of my customers said why not use the Fringe Scissors, GREAT idea Tami!
So Tami first stamped the pine cone and cut out (left), sponged the edges, and then used the Fringe Scissors to cut the edges. Don't go too far in, just cut a little. After that we scrunched it up a bit. Then when you add the Dazzling Details its really pretty!
