Gingerbread Houses

Every year for the past 31 years my two friends and I get together and make Gingerbread Houses. We take turns hosting and who ever is available is welcome to come. Kids, grandkids, friends. We always have so much fun. And almost always we get together the week-end BEFORE Thanksgiving, before all the holiday craziness starts. We all bring candy to share. This year we had so much, that we vowed NOT to bring buy any new candy. Whatever we don't use, we freeze until next year. It will be hard not to buy any next year......we'll see.....

We used to make our own gingerbread......not so much any more. So much easier to just buy the kit.

 We put most of the candy in muffin tins. You can see my grandkids hard at work.

This is my friend Cindy's house. Her house is always "outstanding".

 Here are the three of us with all of our houses.

We may not get to see each other through out the year, but you would never know it. We just pick up where we left off last time. I've know Cindy (red shirt) since I was 16 years old. Lynne a few years less.
