Spring Square Swap

I finally took the time to place my square swaps into my frame yesterday. I was having a hard time trying to decide which dsp to put them all on. Then I came across the Canvas Creations (#129375, $3.95, page 21 of the Spring Catalog). I've been saving it for something special. Look what I did........

I cut the Canvas with my paper cutter to fit my frame, laid out all of the squares, and I was short one, so I just made up another one, then stamped the sentiment, (Feel Goods, #129684, $18.95) with basic black ink, and added the Crepe Paper flowers using scallop circle punches.

Here is a photo without the glare of the glass.

Here you can see the texture of the Canvas and the flowers. For the flowers I punched 8 in each size, 7/8", 1 1/4" and 1 3/4" scallop circle punches. You can punch 8 layers together. Then I took my Stampin' Misters and filled them with Rubbing Alcohol and Pretty in Pink, Marina Mist & Daffodil Delight re-inkers. I did about 10 drops in each mister and then added some Champagne Shimmer paint in each. Shook them up and sprayed each scallop, scrunched them up and let them dry. It only took a few minutes. Layered and put them together with a mini brad. Took each layer and scrunched again, then fluffed. I went back and took a marker same color as re-inkers and colored just the tops of the flowers. Gives it a two-toned look. The leaves are from the Blossom Petals Builder Punch. I used glue dots to stick them to the Canvas and snail to glue the squares down.
This was my square swap. I embossed one of the flowers in Secret Garden, die cut with the matching framelits and used re-inker and a Aqua Pen to add color to each flower. Once that was dry, I coated each flower with Crystal Effects. I shaped each flower with a bone folder and adhered with a dimensional.
