Spiral Flower Die

On Friday I got together with my two friends Patty Bennett and Lisa Rhine. We played around with the Spiral Flower Die. I had brought  some cardstock, Lisa had the die and Patty saw some "Shabby Chic" flowers using this die. So here are my flowers. I probably wouldn't use these together for any project, but it was fun to see the different layers.
And another Stampin' Buddy, Wendy Cranford had the brilliant idea of putting two layers together to make one flower. It makes the flower bigger. We die cut the flower, sprayed it with Alcohol with one of Stampin' Spritzers, then crumpled it up. The top flower is Strawberry Slush with Pistachio Pudding. Second flower is Crushed Curry and Calypso Coral together.

Then Patty found where someone had made a Valentine Wreath with this die. I haven't finished this one yet, but wanted to post how cute this is turning out. I haven't even hot glued these flowers yet. All made with Cherry Cobbler cardstock and sponged, with one flower being the Fancy Foil Designer Gold Vellum. I'm going to have my husband make a frame for me with a wire coat hanger.

You can see how full these flowers are because I used two layers to make each flower.
So you can see, it takes a "village" of friends to come up with these fabulous ideas sometimes! I'll be posting the cards we made in the next few days.
