Bench Display Find!

While I was strolling through Hobby Lobby on Saturday I found this awesome little bench. Of course I forgot to take a photo of it before I decorated it.......It had some rope along one edge and a burlap (small) flower in the left corner. I took all that off and made my own banner and flower with my favorite Designer Series Paper. The banner says "spring". We have less than a month until the new catalog comes out and this paper will be discontinued.....gotta use it while I can.

I also used the Party Pennants Bigz Die (also on the "hit" list). I strung it using the Painted Blooms Cotton Twine, then added a couple of bows using the Wild Wasabi Seam Binding Ribbon. Finished it off with a flower using the Bouquet Bigz die. I used the 2 smallest petals to make the flower.

I'm sure you are wondering about the little purse and the cards. I purchased a kit (everything was all cut and ready for me, such a treat not to have to cut anything.) from Chiaki Haverstick. I think this was the last of the kits and they are no longer available. I will be making 2 more of these purses along with the note cards for my grandkids to take to their teachers for the last day of school. I received the kit on a Friday, but didn't have time to put it together. Went to bed and that's all I could think of. So I got up and made everything in a little over an hour. Now I can sleep......

The cards are the Notecards we sell on page 194. I also used the Painted Petals Stamp Set. Sad this set isn't being carried forward to the new catalog. But, on the bright side, we have a bunch more wonderful stamps with flowers in the new catalog.

I'm sure you can't tell, but I'm so excited about the Annual Catalog coming out next month. As demonstrators we got to view the catalog online (last week) and we can pre-order some of the products tomorrow. I've got my list all ready to go. With the exception of this paper and a few stamps, I'm ready for some new stuff! Soon I will be sharing with you some new products.

Laura asked: Does she have the designer paper has the body of the bag by itself or did she reinforce the dsp by laying it over white paper and then making the shape of the bag? No, its just the designer paper and its held up fine. I also used Fast Fuse as my adhesive to put the bag together. Its still perfect and its been 5 days, everything is still together.

  2. Oh so pretty! I wished I had bought a kit from Chiaki! I had seen those and was debating. Can you tell me something about the bag? Does she have the designer paper has the body of the bag by itself or did she reinforce the dsp by laying it over white paper and then making the shape of the bag? Hope that makes sense!
