Mother's Love, Blog Candy

I love this stamp set and I didn't order it until recently. I think the reason I didn't get this set was because its for Mother's Day. I lost my Mom almost 12 years ago and the 24th she would have been 80 years old. Which is why all the cards have the For You sentiment on them. This set is NOT carrying over to the new catalog, (insert sad face).

I am having trouble getting a great (right now I would settle for good) photo of these cards. I don't know what changed. I'm using the same camera, (iPhone 6plus or my Cannon point and shoot), same lighting, etc. and I must have taken these photos 6 times. So, I apologize that these photos aren't very good.

This card uses Wisteria Wonder as the card base and the ink color. Added some of the 1/8" Silver Ribbon, (its in the new catalog, Yipeee!).

This one uses Wild Wasabi for the card base. I inked up the flower and leaves with Wild Wasabi and Strawberry Crush with my Stampin' Write Markers. I love how easy this set is stamp. Really like a 5 minute card.
I've seen lots of cards where they cut the top piece funny. I measured down 2" on the right side and 3" on the left side and put it in my cutter and cut at different angles. I know not very scientific. I also used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Boarder Punch. Its on the "hit list" (retiring). Again, the colors are washed out, but couldn't get a good photo. I used Marina Mist for the card base and Crisp Cantaloupe for the trim and ink color.

So for this card I used Crisp Cantaloupe for the card base and Strawberry Slush for the border and ink color. By putting the punched piece further under the Whisper White piece you only see the scallops and not the dots like in the card above. Gives it a whole new look.
