Basket of Flowers, Come on Spring!

Did you notice the Basket Bunch Stamp Set with matching Basket Builder Framelits on page 18 of the Occasions Catalog? Check out what I made. This makes a great "spring" card.
First off I love the Petal Burst Embossing Folder. TIP: Use liquid glue to adhere when using any embossing folders. The liquid glue gets in all the nooks and crannies.  Then I used the Stitched Shapes to die cut the Circle from the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper and layered that onto a Scalloped Layering Circle. Added a piece of Doily and some Silver Metallic Thread under the circles and a piece of the Sale-a-bration Ribbon before I put the circles on with dimensionals. Whew, that was a lot of stuff........

Now for the basket. The flowers were stamped on Whisper White with Black Archival Ink (so it won't smear) and then I used the Watercolor Pencils and an Aqua Painter to color them in. What is so cool is there is a Framelit to die cut the flowers and even the leaves. SCORE! The basket was die cut from Tip Top Taupe and sponged, (why of course!). One thing to remember is you need the plain basket piece to put behind the cut out one so you can't see the bottom of the leaves and stems. I used Tombow (liquid) to adhere the flowers and leaves to the solid basket.

The sentiment is from the Jar of Love stamp set and die cut with the Tags & Labels Framelits.
