Up In the Sky, Things That Fly

That is the theme for the Stampin' Up! Only Challenge this week. I saw this technique on Pinterest a while back and couldn't wait to give it a try. I used the Lift Me Up Bundle and the Sunburst Thinlit, but not how you would normally use it.
Can you see the lines from the Thinlit? It didn't cut the paper, but embossed it.
The Lift Me Up Stamp Set and matching Up and Away Thinlits (#144712, for the bundle)are becoming one of my favorite bundles in the Occasions Catalog. I also used a strip of the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack (#138435) at the bottom. The balloon colors are, Mint Macaron, Peekaboo Peach, and Watermelon Wonder. I love how the dies cover each piece of the balloon. I used my Fine-Tip Glue Pen to add adhesive to the back of the balloon, then popped it up with Dimensionals. My clouds are Silver Glimmer Paper.

Pretty cool isn't it?

  1. The first two things that I noticed were the sun rays and the glittery clouds, then the great colors in your balloon....great card!
